New Amex statement credits

HN Bondi junction said they are sold out
Wonder can I just buy normal HN gift cards and exchange them in return for visa later (plus fee)

How can they be sold out? It's a voucher they print out from a separate terminal.

Can anyone confirm that voucher purchases from HN (i.e. those that require use of the ePay terminal) result in the Amex credit being applied?

They definitely generate emails. Will report the cash hitting account
Pending says Harvey Norman AS/IT so am expecting the credit

Okely dokely kids - I ventured up to HN in Moorabbin (VIC) this arvo - they had physical Gift Cards in stock which had an exp date of 6/16 on them - so they could not be loaded and sold  HTF does that work - prepaid Gift Cards with an exp date before they are even sold

Gazillions of vpay cards obviously - here is link to vpay home page which clearly explains how they work. We have Visa / MC Merchant Facility and can process cards over phone so I can easily wash these vpay cards through here - now that's gotta be a deal and a half doesn't it?

Hope this info might help others also.

Dropped in to HN and purchased 3 VPays. Email in my inbox almost straight away. The checkout operator said that andye had been in the previous day. ;)

Thanks to those who have offered advice and experience. :)

Thank you. Just went to my local and checked. They had physical visa's in stock yesterday but didn't today. When I enquired, "We don't sell those" (and they held firm). I guess the same expiry thing happened. Anyhoo, off to vpay land.

Edit: So do you need a voucher code to open a vpay account? it's not letting me register without one.

You do need one. Appears to be one email address per voucher

I've been trying to activate my Pay vouchers. on the registration page, asks for Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format which I take to mean 1 April, 1980 would be 01/04/1980. Keeps telling me it's not a date. Unless I'm having a seniors moment, not sure what else to try. Anyone else experienced this issue?

Had the same problem using Safari on a Mac, switched browser to Chrome and worked fine. Site is very basic!

No similar problem. Registration was quick and easy for me.

Thanks M@rcoPolo, was using safari on my Mac. Switched to Chrome - worked fine - have first one set up :)

Now to wait for my Reloadable MC to arrive so I can complete ID checks and load Pay onto it.

Maybe I asked for the wrong thing, I asked for a prepaid visa card and she said they were sold out from yesterday. Maybe I should have asked for a Vpay card??

I had to talk them into it at my local HN tonight - they used to have physical cards and had run out so tried to fob me off - eventually a salesman overheard the discussion and explained to the cashier what to do on the terminal (?) and voila :)
