I was trying to max gift voucher points too but it does tie up more $$

I was going for minimal outlay while keeping it on one PNR.

Also consider if you want to use your CC for Travel Insurance (varies markedly buy card). With some cards a night or 2 of accommodation would trigger the minimum amount required. Others need the flights etc booked on them.

Just read this on ozbargain re Qantas which some may find interesting:

I checked my statement to see how the merchant appeared the last time I purchased a Qantas gift card, and both gift card and flight purchases show as QANTAS AIR AUSTRALIA.
I've gone ahead and purchased $500/$200 in gift cards, and received the Amex email immediately, so I'm confident I will receive the credit, but will know for sure in a couple of days.
Even if I don't get the credit, 5pts/$ on flights I'd intended to book regardless is nice.

I was almost going to let the Langtons one go... but I got a reminder email that I had a $100 voucher after my Vintec purchase so I got suckered in!

10 bottles of St Hallet Blackwell Shiraz 2014 ($350) plus this white pack at $156 nicely hit the required $500 spend for the voucher (down to $406) and the Amex Credit (down to $256).

After the great Shop Small beer stockup, I have no idea where I am going to store this .

bought a $400 westfield xs gift card today and allowed to splited to 4 amex card for $4.95 fee , 4 emailed received instantly , looking to use those xs cards in ww or coles as well as petrol .

Will come back tomorrow for another $400 card

Which Westfield? I tried to buy a $400 Westfield XS card over 4 Amex cards today at Chatswood but was told "no"...then when i tried to buy 4x $100 cards, i fell foul to the photo ID check as one of the Amex cards I had was in +1's name who was not present ...so i gave up!!

My efforts at buying Coles Myer GCs at both Myer and First Choice Liquor were more successful

i.e. Shop via the Velocity eStore (eBay) and purchase from Supercheap autos eBay store? would the purchase count as a Supercheap auto purchase?

Well I did OK today, $215 in credits!

$150 on QF (assuming gift vouchers really do pay out
$35 + $10 = $45 on the one transaction at Myer (spend $150 get $35 back, plus $10 for using android pay)
$20 at Nespresso (spend $80)

I have seen some posts [on Facebook] regarding the hotel offers.

The hotel offers work perfectly fine on F&B spend at outlets in the hotel, either paid directly (if the terminal has a hotel ID, which most do), or charged to a room (and paid on check out).

Read that as you may.

Plenty of people reporting success at Sydney on OzB. Haven't seen any mention Bondi yet. I'm gonna hit up Sydney this morning (as well as Myer across the street) so will report back.

Statement credits for the $150 CMGC purchases at Myer in store credited on all cards last night. The Mobile Wallet credits have not come through yet on any card....

Same here I can see all the Mobile Wallet transactions as having posted but no credit yet. I can also see on Amex site, the status is not showing as 'redeemed' (assuming only redeemed when. Reddit has been applied) and some showing as 'redeemed' in Amex app but no credit posted yet. Wanting to de-link excess Amex cards in ApplePay but waiting for credits to show in case need to do it again.
