New Amex statement credits

It is reasonable to have a few additional cards in your name if you want to separate work expenses from personal, you may also want a card for online use only and a card that you use for overseas purchases only.

It might be reasonable in your view but it is definitely against AMEX terms. I'd encourage you to ask them about it.

Are you certain it isn't there? Towards the top right it shows three cards. There's a >> which if you click on, scrolls right and shows additional cards. This is where I find my Charge Platinum additional card.

If not there, easiest way to sort it out would probably be to just email the platinum concierge team to sort out for you.

Well - after I log in, under "Account Home" it shows my 2 cards (Platinum Reserve & Platinum Charge) at the top right of the page and to the right there's a button "All Cards".

When I click on "All Cards" it opens a new vertical section to the right showing both cards with "+ X supplementary cards" where "X" is the number of supplementary cards (see below)

When I click on "+" next to the number of supplementary cards I can see them all listed with outstanding charges per card but I have no option to select them so that the panel on the left will reflect the specific supplementary card under "Offer & Places"

Not sure what I'm doing wrong?!

Nothing - I believe that is for information only. It is not designed for you to see the offers, etc. on the supplementary cards.

I have got a Plat charge and a plat charge supp card both in my name. When I called up to ask for it (the supp card) , I said it was for me to use to business expenses. They said "good idea" - lots of people do that.

As always, YMMV.

Interesting that you have 6 supplementary cards on your charge, do the enforce the 4 card maximum or do they allow more?

I received exactly the same response! The whole process was very painless

I actually only have 4 supplementary cardholders + 1 additional card in my name (A/C account).
The 6th card was for a supplementary cardholder and was cancelled a couple of years ago but it's still showing there!

Amex are quite flexible with this. I have 'additional' (a/c) cards on 2 of my accounts to separate out business from personal charges and my wife has 2 supplementaries on my explorer for the same reason - Amex said I couldn't issue her with an a/c card (only available for primary card holder) but could issue another one with a variation of her name e.g. Including middle initial was ok.

i've signed up plat charge supp cards for my brother, wife, father in law and father so they could get the upgrades to status with hotels while I keep the physical cards. Seems like a bit of a waste if you sign them up in your own name

What about Shop Small? You can never have too many cards for Shop Small.

You don't need the physical cards though, Apple Pay works nicely for this. Doesn't work with BP though where their prehistoric machines won't work.
