New Amex statement credits

For those that missed out, Small Shop reopened. Capacity increased from 100,000 to 118,000.

From memory they have extended it on prior years

I don't recall that. In fact it didn't reach the 100,000 capacity until almost the end of November in 2016.

Just tried two places in the Brisbane CBD:

Creek St News (40 Creek St): No go card with AMEX. Was willing to do it with a surcharge after I asked but would not allow splitting the payment to multiple cards.

City News (10 Eagle St): Again usually no go card with AMEX. Was quiet and she agreed to do it with no surcharge and was happy to split payments. $20 on 8 cards, emails received immediately.

A couple of other places around the place:

Winston Glades News (in Ipswich): Do not do go card top ups but do sell go cards for $20 ($10 deposit + $10 credit) but have limited numbers. No AMEX surcharge and was happy to split payment. I took the only 2 adult go cards they had. Received 2 emails immediately.

Middle Park News & Gifts (in Middle Park surprisingly enough): No AMEX surcharge and again happy to split the payment. He was very efficient and I was in and out in 5 minutes. 8 x $20 payments. No emails as yet but it's on the shop small map so not expecting any problems with getting the cash backs.

Got a funny suspicion my Adriano Zumbo purchases might even free as $10 credit from Shop Small then another $10 from the original Adriano Zumbo.

For Go Card top-ups in Brisbane, Nextra Chermside worked well for me this weekend (in Westfield, at the 'new end' near the food court and Woolies). No surcharge for AMEX although paywave doesn't work so you have to insert the card and use PIN. No issue using two AMEX cards for one top-up (said I wanted to pay $20 from my personal card and $20 from my business card for a $40 top-up, ahem). ;) Shop Small emails came through immediately.

EDIT: Add Southbank Beach News & Souvenirs to the 'yes' list (in South Bank Parklands, near Max Brenner): does Go Card topups, takes Amex with no surcharge, paywave works and Shop Small.

Harvey Norman is back spend $400 get $100 - showed up in my Amex app and found the link on OzB:
American Express | Offers
Please note that with the OzB link, once you've registered a card, go to the top right hand side of the page and click "Lou out" so you can then save some more cards. Closing the tab and going back to the link will take you back to where you were as it caches your details.

FWIW for Amex issued cards, it's easier to log in to your account and select save offer there...

Agreed. Initially couldn’t see it on all my cards with the app. Later logged in and could it there. I’m finding the new website more difficult to navigate (eg can’t see my additional card for explorer or Platinum Charge).

Except when the offer didn't show up on half of my AMEX issued cards. And I have to say that the new AMEX interface is very slow so it was actually quicker to manually register for me.

I registered via the manual link for one of my cards. On the confirmation screen it showed a list of where to redeem. There were about eight Sydney stores only.

Has this offer previously been restricted only to Sydney?

Can't really complain but last year's offer was much better ;) : Harvey Norman - Spend $300 Get $100 back
