New Amex statement credits

2nd time for me. I’m happy with the combined $800 credit, but $1200 would be even better.
Second time for me as well, if these become a regular, standard feature then I'll definitely be keeping the card.

was hoping the offer will turn up on explorer/edge, but no cigar this time,

so jealous

Was done (for the second time) to compensate / offset the cost for members who are paying high annual fee but can’t use most of the Plat card benefits. Explorer annual fee is covered by the travel voucher which was extended beyond it’s 1 year expiry.

So just confirming the $400 supermarket cashback offer: purchase of giftcards bought online not eligible, but if bought in-store then ok?

Why do that? there would be sonething wrong If one person could not spend 400 in 5 mths on food
You can pick up supermarket gift vouchers for some percentage off quite easily. This $400 could be used where no further discounts are possible perhaps

I have more to do with my time to save $20 on $400 less $7.95 so saving $12.05 total when i can just use the card for next 6 mths at leisure

I may end up using the spend on GCs, not for the discount but simply because I don't shop much at Coles, Woolies or Harris Farm unless there's a compelling Flybuys/WWR spend x get y promo.

I haven’t seen a mention of this in AFF but I may have missed it. But the offer that is coming 1 Feb is a new Platinum Charge offering.

Honestly it truly is rubbish. An offer on an Australian card where you have to pay in foreign currency and get slugged silly fees. That really is poor. A much better incentive would just be to forget Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter and get rid of the 3% foreign transaction fee. That would be a great improvement on this card.
