New Amex statement credits

Me and +1 ended up with $530 of credits from 28 shops over 6 cards. It wasn't that hard, I didn't start until the 10th!.

I loved the waitress's reply at one restaurant when after giving an entertainment book voucher, I added "Oh, can I pay over 3 Amex's"...she goes "REALLY" and turns sideways to look at me. :)

62 x $10 credits across 9 cards - happy with the result but already committed to improve next time :)

BTW when can we expect the next ShopSmall month? March 2016??

my understanding is that it's always been November each year.
So sad it's over for another year.

We managed prob around 45 credits from 5 cards. Decent effort, but I'll probably get a few more cards next year because we used up credits at our favourite shops quickly.

38 credits from 4 cards (10,10,10,8) which was a huge improvement on last year's outcome of a mere 12 credits across 3 cards. I will be targeting 100% credits next November. YTD Amex credits total $925 so hoping to break through to 4 figures by year's end.:)

New offer - spend $500 at Apple online, get $50 back - only valid for a week (ends Dec 8).

A host of new offers today, not all on all my cards;

Rebel 20 back for 50
Body Shop 10 for 50
Dymocks 20 for 50
Qantas 100 for 700
Haighs 10 for 30
Amart 20 for 100
Pet Circle 15 for 60
Bose 25 for 195.

I got all of them except Haighs and Pet Circle. No loss for me because there isn't a Haighs in BNE and I don't have a pet.

Qantas t&c says it could be used at a travel agent. How would amex then know what exact purchase was (whether it included a QF flight number)?

I suspect that they wouldn't know, unless they asked you to validate your claim for the $100 by sending in details or contacting the travel agent directly.

The statement credit offer earlier in the year didn't have any sort of validation attached to it and I'm fairly certain folks bought vouchers and received the credit.

I guess the question becomes could you just buy something completely unrelated from any major travel agent?
