New Amex statement credits

Off to get a mega $200 meat pack at the butcher, I guess.
You're lucky your butcher takes Amex. According to the website, there are now exactly zero businesses in my small town that accept Amex. For last year's Shop Small there were two (neither being the butcher.)

Which card is this from?
On my Platinum Reserve CC, which I don't use very much, but not my charge card, which I use regularly.

When I checked the map for Melbourne.. no results for the shop small lol

The only way this current Shop Small offer (5x points from Aug 1-4) makes any sense at all is if there will be another/better offer on August 5.

Though there have been a number of drops in the value I obtain from Amex, I haven't noticed any drop off in acceptance. If anything the rise in Square for small businesses mean I'm using it for a higher proportion of transactions.
I don't get the feeling that disportionate transaction surcharges have increased either

It's just about as exciting on the merchant side. 10 merchants Australia wide will win a $10,000 grant for their small business, one entry per AMEX transaction processed in the month of August.

I don't think I stand a chance.

I don't recall having a section like that in my survey, from memory the closing question I got was only a scale of 1-10 of what I thought about the survey without any space for any additional comments.

And if they had sent the survey after today's "offer", my responses would have been even worse.
Lol they sent me 3 different surveys earlier(on my 2 cards) , and I did complaint about shop small last year.
I also mentioned HSBC values more nowadays.

The miniscule Shop Small promo was a good reminder that I hadn't yet used this year's Aussie $200 Plat dining credit. Fortunately, the restaurant that I wanted to go to was both on the list for the credit and also on the list for Shop Small. The restaurant bill more than took care of the SS points cap for the promo on that MR-earning card, so used a Qantas cobrand on which I also registered for SS for the weekend's drinks, cafe and bakery spend. Won't say no to a couple of thousand bonus points all up, but the old month-long cash back version of SS was a good motivator for paying some of the high Amex annual fees, because I felt I could count on a minimum of $100-$200 back a year via those details and on each card. Now I don't factor it in at all and have mostly downgraded my cards (Plat charge aside) because the benefits just aren't worth it any more (and this year, I found I could only register for SS on the primary card within each rewards account - not every actual card, boo).

Has anyone used Webjet to book a car? I would like to make a few car bookings that would exceed the current $500/100 Amex offer but when it comes to paying on Webject it says that a small deposit will be charged to airportrentals.com and the remainder is paid at the rental desk when picking up.

Not confident that any would be Webjet spend to trigger the offer, so hoping to hear if anyone has got the credit for car hire through Webjet.

I think the T&C made it very clear.
