New Amex statement credits

Went to BP at Fyshwick this morning with a view to putting another $40 worth of U91 in Mrs 2905's car, only to find that they no longer sell it, since replacing their pumps recently. They only sell ethanol-tainted fuel and U98 now (and diesel and LPG, but they're no good to me at all). After quickly doing the maths on their U98, I left empty-handed and went and got some U91 from WW at Majura Park instead.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but places like Bunnings provide swaps for that size for $19.85.

My local Bunning's exchange 8.5kg bottles for less than $20.00, you should check yours out

$39?? Wowsers....

I was aware of Bunnings and others being cheaper, but my closest two Bunnings are 15 mins+ driving time from both home and work (each way), so the saving in time was better value. I know the cost of my time and it was better value for a mid-week fill to use BP (600m from work) and the offer (so now $29 net cost). If I needed a fill and could have waited to the weekend, then I would have other reasons to head to Bunnings ;).

I posted here to alert others of the opportunity, that similarly some may find easier to access than cheaper (but further away) alternatives

Bunnings aside, all the pertrol stations around me offer gas exchanges at around $25, give or take....

Yes, I was referring to your post from the DM wine thread, I don't think it was just your card personally.

Ok I got some exciting news! For the RETAIL statement credit:
Boccaccio cellars was happy to manually imput my credit card for my online purchase through their terminals.
They will need a copy of your credit card's though (scanned copy) + a copy of a photo ID. If using card not in your name, just a letter from that person saying they Boccaccio to charge $80 to that card etc.
PM for his contact details - he was very good to deal with and very accommodating.

I got confirmation emails for all my transactions!

I'm loving the BP deal. But in reality its not a huge saving

BP is normally 1 to 2c more than woolworths petrol unleaded.
Add 4c off fuel voucher
5% off/6c via wish gift cards

That's 11 to 12c dearer. So for 40littres for example
That's 4.4 or 4.8$ more expensive for a $10 discount

unless you live somewhere where all the service stations are the same price every day

Honestly
In my area
Independents and woolworths are the same within a cent
Coles 1 to 2 higher
BP about the same as coles
BP and Coles pit their prices up first. And then woolworths follow

My point was 4c off and 5% off at 1.2 per litre is 10c per litre

Just sayin

And in my area BP can be 10c more expensive so not really that competitive.

Think in Bass Hill BP is the cheapest but that's a long way away.

Is it possible to get AMEX Offers for Additional Cardholders for AMEX-issued cards? I know with bank-issued AMEX, we can set up a new AMEX Connect for the additional card, but since AMEX-issued cards are through internet banking that doesn't seem to be possible.

If they don't appear for the Supp card, you can use a manual link that has been posted here or elsewhere

You can still use AmexConnect to register Amex-issued supplementary cards if the offer has not appeared for said card with Amex OLB. Somewhere in this thread (one of my posts) are the instructions on how to do it.

When I activate each Supp Card I set each up with hits own Username and Password.

This permits offers to be automatically sent to each, ease of accepting said offers, and easy of tracking each offer for each card.

Oh thank guys - didn't realise they get their own account - thought it was like bank-issued cards. Thanks heaps, I'll just order a supp card. Was actually planning on cancelling the AMEX Platinum Edge but since ANZ is removing AMEX from their cards, will need to keep these for the offers.

All my offers had expired or been used, so was waiting for them to disappear. Now they have, logged in to find some different offers available:
