I currently have 30000 Flybuy pts...I need to get to 40000 Flybuy pts to convert to 16000 Eithad miles (can only convert in multiples of 10000 Flybuy pts)....I will then have enough (13800 Etihad miles) for a return VA flight Syd-Zqn rtn (can retail up to $600+) on VA Y....probably the best value I can squeeze out of my Flybuy pts...the Q is how long will it take to earn another 10000 Flybuy pts?
So I got an offer: buy groceries online, click "collect and go", spend over $100, and get $10 off and 3000 FlyBuy pts....ok, here's my chance:
Problems encountered:
1) Online prices seem 10-20% higher than in store
2) Can't choose items eg really wanted 2 ripe bananas and one green one...got 3 ripe yellow ones.
3) Got given someone else's shopping when i went to collect so had to unload car....
4) Wanted 3 steaks but only got 2.
5) Actual bill was $15 more than online bill (explained that although i had ordered a 2.5 kg leg of lamb, they only had a 2.7 kg one so I was given that and charged accordingly etc etc )....after stating I was very unhappy about this, was given the $15 cash back in hard currency as a goodwill gesture!

Will not do online shopping again unless I break a leg!
Hope the 3000 bonus FB pts post

You've highlighted some of the reasons I won't use Coles Online. At least you had a click and collect convenient to you. My closest one is 30 minutes drive.

Sorry, updating previous advice. For this first month, there will be a slight delay - we now expect the first lot of tier miles to be posted at the end of this week. Apologies for this. After this month, we plan for tier miles to be posted within about 4 or 5 business days of the end of each month.

nothing posted yet. any idea of when the first points will post and when the converted FB points will show up???

I just received an email from flybuys regarding discounted Etihad flights. I've done a couple of searches within the specified travel period, and the price appears to be exactly the same as the regular price.

If anyone can be bothered, can you check to see whether you can get sale fares to show? The route I was trying was MEL-AMS return.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

We've checked MEL-AMS for some random dates during the promotional period (17 December 2015 to 8 June 2016) and for the examples we've looked at, it appears to be showing the discounted rate. Happy to check for specific dates to try to replicate the issue you've been having.

We're sorry about the protracted delay in crediting the first month of Etihad Guest tier miles. Please send us a private message with your details if they are not on your account by Tuesday. Again, our apologies that we haven't met the dates previously advised.

My Tier Miles haven't posted in my Ethiad Guest account yet either, and I definitely did link the Flybuys account to Ethiad Guest membership number successfully. Seems like this is a widespread problem - any chance that the flybuys company rep can look into what the delay is?

I think wait till Tuesday is the message. I haven't got mine, but I do remember the shambolic way the Medibank vegetable triple points thing started, but that settled down in the end.....

We're happy to explain; there was a misunderstanding at the flybuys end around the automated process set up by which the information is transferred between ourselves and Etihad. We're now confident around the transfer, and from our understanding of the way that Etihad posts the information received, we expect the tier miles to be in Etihad Guest accounts by Tuesday. To be clear, no members tier miles from October have yet been added, and we expect at this stage October tier miles for all members to be credited by Tuesday. It's our expectation that the delay for this first month is a one-off, and we do regret the inconvenience.

Thanks to the flybuys rep for the updates. Really wonderful to hear from you here.

Thanks. I'll have another look when I get home from work. It's quite possible that it's a brain fart Friday issue

Had another look at this at home and both the outgoing & return have to be within the sale period to get the discount.

Could I clarify if there is an account with a supplementary card attached, that the Tier Miles earned from both cards will be credited to the linked account (hoping I'm right)?

Yes, you're right. Just as further info though, the monthly caps on tier miles (5,000 per month during the promotional period 21/10/2015 – 31/12/2015) and 2,500 per month after that, are at a total account level, not per card.

I find this concept of tier miles so confusing. Are they they the same as status credits? I cant imagine many prospective coles customers would see the promo and think 'even though im going to be doinh several etihad flights ill fall just short of gold so itll be great to top it up with coles spend.
Im betting most people would simply see '3 tier miles per dollar spent' and think 'great, 3 FFPs per $ spent'

As ive said before i think Flybuys is a HUGE missed opportunity for Velocity for a simple earn program. The new Woolworths program is considered worthless and the etihad flybuys is confusing.
