Thanks to our hard working FlyBuys rep my Tier miles have finally posted.. Thanks very much

Ha! I now have over 7000 Tier miles - 30% of the way to Silver ... :D

Re: FlyBuys and EY

Do you need actual flights as well to gain status ala QF 4 flight requirement.

Not that I've seen.

EY Silver isn't going to set the world on fire to be honest (extra bag, priority boarding on VA + priority checkin and EY lounges (no guest) if on EY Y)

After linking both accounts when the Tie-up was announced, I still haven't seen any tier miles post to my account. I wonder what I'm doing wrong - I take it everyone else's are transferring across just fine?

Sorry to hear this. Please send us your flybuys number and Etihad Guest account number in a private message and we'll follow up.

Re: FlyBuys and EY

Mrs andye's have transferred fine. In November she was given over the stated monthly maximum of 5000 TMs presumably to make up for some missed points in October. The TMs will be harder to come by now they are down to 1/$ (though I hadn't initially realised the were also for Liquorland and Coles Express as well as Coles)

Re: FlyBuys and EY

A question for the forum - has anyone successfully converted FlyBuys points to EY miles yet?

I initiated a transfer on Sunday and received an email confirmation stating it would be processed in 2 business days. No miles are showing in my EY account yet so called FlyBuys and was advised it will take a month! Mentioned the timeframe in the email and am now waiting on a call back from the partners area.

Geez, VA to SQ happens virtually instantaneously.

Sorry, you've been given the wrong information by our call centre. We're guessing they misinterpreted your question as referring to Tier Miles (credited monthly), not conversion of flybuys points to Guest Miles, and we're sorry for this. We expect the conversion to take two business days. Please send your details in a private message and we'll follow up.

You're not the only one, albeit I've only racked up a couple of hundreds of points, I still haven't gotten my miles from November...

Re: FlyBuys and EY

Just had a look at points required for F or J awards on Etihad and I doubt my flybuys points are ever going to get me there.

I transferred mine on 11NOV15 and they were with Etihad 13NOV15.

Update: the miles are now showing in my EY account. I guess I can cope with 3 business days.

Re: FlyBuys and EY

I'm just wondering if there is an advantage to moving FB points over to EY now as averse to waiting till ready to book? Are there any incentives with a use by date?

Wondering the same. Don't want to findout after 3 months (for example) that all points expire unless a flight or toaster is purchased!
