I've received so much advice on this forum and experienced real value in the experiences and use the app mostly so I was happy to pay to subscribe several years ago. I've never regretted it - quite the opposite.

I guess as this is the suggestions thread... I would, with all due respect, suggest that you making logging in and posting available to non-paid members. I thank you for considering my suggestion.

When a user logs in to the current version of the app, ads are no longer displayed. It has always been this way. As ad revenue is a part of how the website remains operational, doing so would have a financial impact on the website. An exchange for not seeing ads when logged into the app is a yearly fee (or monthly Silver if you want to try it out), which depending on the tier also removes ads from the desktop browsing experience or provides extra services.

Ultimately, value is subjective. Considering your status in two airline programs and two hotel programs, from what you have listed in your profile, access to discounted Qantas Club may not be as valuable to you as other members, but there are other discounts available in the Gold subscription package. A step down from that is the Silver subscription, which might make more sense to you, if you wanted to help support the site and use the app.

That's cool I understand that. I'd prefer to support the site by viewing ads on the app (and by contributing through posting), just my preference.

A minor iOS app bug: it appears that if there is strikethrough in a post, subsequent posts will appear struck through, even none of those posts contain the relevant BB code. In fact, you can see from the sample that even some of the controlled text, e.g. who has liked a post, also appears struck through.

Not sure if this is caused by the strikethrough formatting itself or malformed BB code. If I go to the next page with no strikethrough, there is no problem.

Again a very minor issue - should be placed on the not urgent pile.

Interestingly, the ongoing strikethrough appears to have been sourced from the <-> rather than the [noparse][-][/noparse].

In light of the issue, I've found adding a leading "/" stops the behaviour so that is what I have done in the TOTT.

I have found the app a lot better in recent times...ðŸ

Using the updated app on iPad to see if picture loading works. Currently experiencing no issues

On Android I have recently installed the app to check it out. I can browser to most parts of the forum ok, however I get the issue as posted before saying I am not logged in. I can like a post at the same time with no issue.

I have noticed my subscriptions area is blank, however I can "star" to subscribe things and they show up on the desktop web browser version.

How and where is the best way to log an issue?

Is anyone finding the iOS app is crashing very regularly when trying to read threads?

Yes, it's gone back to being a bit unstable again and the dreaded "logged out" issue is happening much more frequently at present.
If I'm lucky I will know that I'm logged out as I go into a big thread first and get randomly dumped in the middle of it. Very annoying if I have typed a reply to a new thread.

The being randomly dumped in the middle of a thread issue has never been resolved - at least for several users including me :(

Noted when trying to upload a screenshot (that I think was too large) that there was as a noberror message, the upload just timed out.

After using a photo editor to compress no issues.

Could we have an error message, or use an on the fly compression tool.

An on the fly compression tool (like when emailing photos) would, I am sure, overcome a huge number of problems trying to post pics on slow wifi.
