I'm now getting messages from Apple that I won't be able to use the old app soon. I wish the new app worked ok but it seems not.

That's an automatic system-based pop-up that highlights apps that haven't been updated for a long time. See here.

That's interesting. A couple of weeks ago, I tried to upload a photo to AFF using the android app. It sat at "uploading" for a full quarter of football (it was a view from office) photo.
I assumed it was due to heavy loading of both Etihad stadium wifi and/or 4G (tried both).

At quarter time, I emailed the photo to myself, resizing it to ~150k, then used Chrome to access the forum thread and uploaded the photo - took about 15 seconds to post.

Yes it's been real bad as of late

Getting this a lot, being logged out all the time and the app now crashes as well quite frequently. Has been occurring in the last 2-3 weeks especially.

Can the app retain username and password so it's not necessary to type it out each time?

Same here, but with iPhone7. Always logs me out. Not really a new issue as it has been on-going.

Well, I'm using the (working) old app and am starting to have the log in issues over the last couple of days.

I know it's hard to remebember, but if doing a 'war and peace'* post using the app, it is always a good idea to copy the text to the device scratchpad before posting.

* 'War and Peace' posts on the app often turn out rather small when viewed on a desktop.
