What about chauffeur drive...pre changes I was able to book it online..now I cannot. there is nothing there about it. (J flight to Dubai)

Have QF not been in touch with you yet? Didn't you know they are canceling CD, due to the lack of take up at the Dubai end.....!!!;)

I believe they are only cancelling it to/from USA and not to the Middle East/Europe as Emirates still offers it on those routes...

Oh c'mon people, that was a little tongue in cheek. Hence the wink at the end of my post.

Got a huge shock when I logged in. Hadn't seen this thread prior or heard change was coming.

I liked in the "old" version how all my info was in one place whereas now the amount of scrolling on top of
- flights in one layer
- baggage in another
- seating in another

is just awful and fiddly.

Bring back the old version that had it all laid together.

As usual it's a first world problem but I really don't like it.

But Qantas want you to be bombarded with upsell opportunity. How else are they going to erase that deficit? ... :p

Having a look at the construction I'm considering writing a GM script to put summary info at the top (maybe along with seat selection buttons).

One hideous change has been to remove the seats selected from beside the actual segments.
OK, I have put together a Script. It can be used with FireFox & GreaseMonkey or Chrome with Tamper Monkey.

Any who would like to Beta test this and provide feedback, please PM me.

I wonder how much of what we complain about/suggest improvement for actually gets through to the right people in QF. I wouldn't be surprised if web site complaints ever get mentioned in the office, or perhaps even read.

Complaints? Why would anyone who might actually see or hear a complaint tell anyone up the chain about it? Anyone meaningful up the chain would have approved / ticked off on the new design. You wanna be the one to tell them the customers think it stinks? The only metric that's going to get seriously looked at is increase in upsell. That will be the majority - perhaps the only - thing looked at by management to see if the re design was an improvement or not.

"Couldn't give a rat's behind whether or not the punters like it. Are they going to go elsewhere because they don't like the look of the web site?"

Well I'll use a highly technical term "it sucks!" Trying to use it on a mobile device is like going to the dentist!

It consumers far too much bandwidth and required constant renavigation.

As David and Margaret would say "I give it half a star"

(Slightly off-topic but I guess it's part of the new MMB) I just made a booking ADL-BKK via the website and received the nice little email from QF confirming the flight - and then almost had a heart attack! The HTML email confirmation only shows the ADL-SYD booking, it doesn't include my SYD-BKK booking.
The content of the email?

As far as I am aware all my confirmation emals have only ever had the first flight of the itinerary in the header of the email and when opening the email I would only see the first flight of the itinerary. Need to open the .pdf to see all flights.

Hmmm I don't often book through QF in Australia, but the previous flights that were, show the entire booking.

Admittedly, they were not in HTML form, but it clearly showed each flight in the booking without needing to view a PDF.

They still use this form of ticketing with flights booked in BKK, and I personally prefer it - no need to open yet another file, it's all in the email in B&W.

Sure the new email is nice and modern, but it fails in the area of supplying important information.

Keep the design if they want, but put all the flights in it - after all that's what is important.

If not, just send me a simple, non-html email with all the information present. :)

I have a booking this weekend BNE-SYD-BNE. I cannot view the booking. It would appear I am unable to view any booking created from a residual gift voucher. :(

I called Qantas customer service. They know it is an issue and will try to have it fixed as soon as possible. Consultant cannot do anything either because this is an "online" issue. Can't check seats, can't use OLCI. Just turn up to the airport and hope for the best. She asked me to provide some feedback. A lot of good that is going to do.

I am convinced this airline has totally lost the plot and it will be hard to come back from here. So sad.

The new Manage Your Booking on my laptop is ugly. Actually awful. I don't care that some gadget junkie thinks it is great because they swipe from screen to screen better now. Just awful....

I've been told something similar on around four occasions since late February. I do not believe they consider it a priority.

I can't even access the bookings via Amadeus or similar, which I find very frustrating.

Another simplification in reverse. I wonder who QF consulted in developing this so called enhancement, what a disgrace.

The issue some of these bookings had was some remarks relating to gift vouchers needed to be removed. On the previous manage your booking I could view these bookings, change seats and use OLCI after the remarks were removed.

Since then new version last week I have lost that ability.

Surely you do some testing before releasing website changes live? Are they really that incompetent?

This leads me back to a previous observation. Is someone fast tracking the downfall of Qantas? Deliberate sabotage?

Yes, all the previous style of emails I have received go something like the following, only quoting the first flight:

Flight Details
Details for the first flight in your journey:
· QF127 to Hong Kong
· Departing from Sydney Terminal 1 at 9:50AM on 09 April 2014
Your booking reference is xx_xx_

I have received this text email as well with flights ex-SIN. I have also received it when I have made changes to existing bookings via call centre.

I have never seen it with any bookings ex-Australia.

Not a domestic only flight, included an international connection.

That was why I was concerned, was a bit of a shock - all one booking but only one flight obvious In the email.

Not so hard to include both, but I guess it's QF we are talking about, isn't it. ;)
