Good news. The elastic was very sturdy and the tag cleaned his teeth better than a hard biscuit.
Have you got a pic of the PS delivery kit? Would like to spoil my surprise and know what I'll be receiving early next month.
Ask and ye shall receive- in glorious iPhone-o-vision.
For reference: QP PS renewal based in TSV, haven't been through PER this year but have been through SYD on a number of occasions. Membership year ends 30 Nov, but I will scrape in as an SG by then... and the shiny-card anticipation starts again!

Jeez! Did they even test them or did it just look cool so they produced a million?
I think cardboard might stand up better
Oh right..... of course, they probably just quickly drew them on a napkin, flipped a coin to decide what material to use then moved on.... Who needs testing...
Look like it was resting and rubbing against something else for some time. Probably in the cargo hold of the transpacific flight.
Just checked with the J Lounge staff and they said you will be able to buy the new tags in vending machines down near check-in for $50 a piece.
So they might be $50 for Bronze/non-QFFs, but what about if a PS/SG/WP/CL has one damaged or lost? Will QF send out free replacements like they did with the old tags?
I guess if you ask nicely, and it was lost/damaged on a QF flight, they should.
Cheers,
- Febs.

I said, bit of a costly exercise seeing as they sent me an old card last week, to which she said "tell me about it"
Received my silver card and tags yesterday as my SC review was the end of October. If the silver and platinum look similar I guess the level of mixups will increase.
Also with paper labels it would be easier to notice a misplaced bag - for example a solitary bag labelled SYD on a trolley of other bags going to PER.
I can also envisage the tags falling off in time as the rubbery straps that loop around the suitcase handle perish. The one off plasticised paper labels were single usage and were more resilient than the old QF credit card type ID labels with plastic loops.
