No, 'just' a steakhouse in the Hyatt. We've found US steakhouses especially in Seattle have really excellent wine lists. Kind of shame I must drink Washington and Oregon wines from now on (one must make sacrifices for one's art) as the Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon is just brilliant. Luscious, good fruit, long depth. Very good example of how good Napa Cabs can be. But I think we'll manage. That's good selection by the glass. In an Enoteca, I presume?

Ah sorry. Don't know. They poured out of sight, unfortunately.Sorry, what I meant was an entoteca wine machine - at least that what I think they are usually called. You know - the devices where the bottles are all pressurised with argon gas to keep the wine from oxidising and measured serves can be automatically dispensed.

A delightful drop at lunch today (venue was Hilton Brisbane, hosted by investment manager Schroders).

Really need to find this (Vinomofo?), light to medium bodied, some astringency but medium to long in the palate. Dark red berries is all that I could pick up. Needless to say, out table completely drained the bottle.
Had it before in Sheraton SYD exec lounge, nice drop.
Something a bit different tonight - Pertaringa 'singe vineyard' Tannat 2009.
Got it a few years ago from their McLaren Vale cellar door and I remember the owner was very proud to be the only one in the region who grows this grape.
