Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

And the perfect way to do the Coonawarra also - stay at Penola - cycle out to Coonawarra visiting each winery on West side (left) on the way out - have lunch - cycle back to Penola.

Next day cycle out to Coonawarra - turn around and visit the wineries on East side (again your left side) on your way back into Penola - go back out 3rd day and collect your purchases - PERFECT short break.

Note: Penola - Coonawarra Rd actually runs north/south. How good would this little sojourn be for an AFF get together? Might just get about organising this once I get the MEL Champers night bedded down!
We'd be interested. I've done a tour through there before, but only three wineries....plenty more to try!

Serfty: Is your 1970 vintage bottle a Grange?
How does it look?
And at which Melbourne AFF gathering are you proposing to draw the cork? :)
Sure 'tis. It look ok; I was booked to take it to a Penfold's clinic a few months ago but work intervened ... anyway, the '71 was supposed to be a better vintage than the '70.

Oh, and I was wrong - 'tis "1 PINT 6 FL OZ":
Oh well ... I'll know in 5 weeks ...
