Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Ok just for youse city slickers - the image on the wall is of a dairy cow - no steak even remotely resembling what is in picture ever came from a dairy cow.

Old redundant dairy cows past their effective milk producing life are slaughtered and boned with majority of meat claimed eventually ground and ends up in hamburgers not on a dinner plate in an upmarket steak restaurant.

Dairy cow - would be like chewing boot leather:

Steak would have come from something like this:

Hard to fathom who or why anybody would put that image in a steak restaurant

We had a Cullens Diana Madeline and a 2020 MossWod with nibbles the other afternoon. The MossWood was very good so I am glad i have some in both Perth and Sydney. The 2018 MossWood is gone now but if you hear of some on sale do let me know.

But no rating of the DM? Yes totally overrated isn’t it? Glad you are starting to agree with me cobber 👍😎

Yes MossWood 2018 and 2020 is really pretty good. Now @Cruiser Elite i was a big fan of the 1990 Hill of Grace but they are gone too.
I had to get a Diana replaced as it had sediment in it.
The Cullens winemaker is married to my nieces half sister…..WA has such a small population compared with Victoria.

Yep the whole state is full of fence jumpers - pretty narrow gene pool huh? :D

Hey now that your mob are back on the winners list best you plan a trip over here to Oz? I am in MEL most of Jul and Aug - I’ll bring the TC and you can shout the tucker?

Yes life can be quite different if you live in WA. We don’t have to buy rubbish wines from Victoria. You can keep your Victorian Premier as long as you like but listen out for the gurgling sounds.
Let me know what you think of Xanadu best red as I was pleasantly surprised. There are some very good red wines from the Margaret River region in 2018 and 2020.

@Cruiser Elite we are in London in early July. By August we should know if the Dockers are in the hunt. Getting to Melbourne in winter is a bit cold but I will try. It is a crazy town where you have to book a restaurant well ahead of time.
I would need to be paid to go to tennis.
Moet bubbles, MossWood and then Cullens. The bubbles gets the conversation going.
