No Egyptian wines I see!Theme for the tasting last night was Bordeaux blends from 2016. Some good wines and some average wines in there.
@Steady saw your comment on CT about the Rustenberg. The one last night was mine purchased at the cellar door. My view mimicked yours. Not sure how it went so wrong with this wine. I recall it was decent at the time of purchase. Also have other vintages previously which showed a lot better than this bottle. Perhaps they just don't age well.

I tried quite a few SA (red) wines in the short time I was there and only one stood out - unfortunately it was at a much higher price point.... If anyone gets the chance I recommend trying Vilafonte Series CTheme for the tasting last night was Bordeaux blends from 2016. Some good wines and some average wines in there.

That would have been an intersting tasting.
IMHO - the Cullen Merlot Malbec Petit Verdot of that rough era is probably one of the greatest value Australian wines in a Bordelias-ish style [that I have ever purchased].
