Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

The fluus 2012 was long gone, luckily there’s a 2013 fluus packed in the same box as these 2012s. it’s meant to be?!
How were these? New vintage just shipped.

Freisa. That other grape from the Langhe region. Delish! Similar to Nebbiolo but a little lighter in style. Also giving the new decanter off Amazon a whirl.
Underrated varietal, opened the G. Rinaldi Freisa recently and it was fantastic.

mostly Vintage Cellars and BWS bargains with an end-cost <$25:

yes, after having 2021 Burlotto, my first Friesa, i'm looking forward to 2016 Mascarello, 2016 Lano, 2019 Paitin, 2019 Boveri :)

Wynns black label vertical last night. So understandable why this wine is so popular. Amazing value for money. 2010 WOTN but same really strong vintages in there too. The recently released 2021 was so approachable but has so much potential too.
'87 Black Label (tried twice) > '87 John Riddoch... go figure.

I think the acid line in the Black Label seems to keep them fresher/gives it a bit more life.

Agreed amazing value for money, Bowen Estate seemed pretty good during my early drinking too. Sadly, neither seem to make it into the cellar now.

Have not had any vinegar tasting wine in recent times @JohnM. I did however try a Jansz sparkling wine at Epicurean Crown in Perth instead of Charles Heidsieck and it was way to sugary sweet for my taste buds. Sorry Taswegians I won’t do that again. Back to the better drop yesterday Worked for us.
I am missing Krug….
