I might phone them again to ask them to ticket my flight, just for giggles. This mornings agent is working overtime i can now see correct points deducted, and she called me back. Just need the eticket so ican confirm seats on all legs and confidently book my land components.
Mr H could I please I double-check this? I believe you but I have just gone through much the same thing this morning. After about 6 hours of online and call centre failures yesterday I had wonderful help from Milla in Fiji today. Not what I wanted but good enough. Theoretically, a new ticket will be issued. But now, 4 hours later I have noticed that 318,000 points have been deducted from my account OWA (J).The points refund is normal. They refund all the previous points and at some future juncture long after ticketing they will deduct the new points.

Check whether you have tix on CMT. If you do, then you are good. Let Qantas worry about deducting the points.Mr H could I please I double-check this? There are two tickets on this booking though, so at least I would have expected 2 lots of 318,000?!? Based on your own example, perhaps go figure is the answer! Or would you consider that another 3 calls to somewhere land needed?! Thanks!

Check that the CMT bookings have ticket numbers. Thanks! I will.
I just amended the OP to add that it was the case. That's a great help. . Thank you.
Oh dear - I see no ticket numbers there, or on RJ. The old ones were there this morning when I was on the call but the cupboard is now bare.Check that the CMT bookings have ticket numbers.
Thanks.I don’t know what other carriers you have in your itinerary, but keep in mind that it’s not only the flight that changes that’s affected by a delay in re-ticketing; all sectors are in jeopardy.
You may already know this… but just in case you don’t.

On my way....Then you do not have a ticket. You need to sit on the call centre until it is ticketed. At least you now know how to check to see whether there is a ticket. CMT is the source of truth. I can’t vouch for the RJ website.
All sorted. Ringing on a Saturday night seemed to mean they could contact ticketing faster as things were quieter than otherwise may have happened. Who knows. Anyway - ticketed and in CMT. Thanks for the push, Mr. HOn my way....

Saturday night's allright for fighting.....Glad it worked for you. I should take my own advice and ring again to get my week-old EK booking ticketed but I just don't have the strength.
Quick question, which I know will have been answered above, but not sure where…
Departing SYD on a OWA and returning in to Melbourne. Can I tack on a MEL-SYD a few days later? Or is returning to Australia considered the ‘end’? I suspect I might be allowed to tack it on as the calculate the distance anyway?
