I have my AA executive platinum from a status match with my premier 1k of course ;)

Doesnt matter what price you pay jetstar is marketed as a oneworld partner its on the qantas website

Tell me where?

The Oneworld site does not mention Jetstar full stop under the QF section

Qantas - oneworld

This is the closest thing that I can find on the QF site, but again it does not list JQ as an affiliate Oneworld airline.

Additionally, travel is permitted on Qantas marketed services operated by Jetstar.

Why don't you highlight where you believe that it states that JQ is a oneworld partner, as everything stated so far is to the contrary.

Again, I would not waste your time on something you are not entitled to.

I think the same thing happened to me with Alaskan airlines I have MVP gold but does nothing on oneworld. I will give it a try and see what happens on the day. If they say no then no harm done. I thought I was granted access with oneworld status that's why I asked.

Jetstars participation in OneWorld at present is purely the ability to use their flights on OW fares.

EVen then, it is limited to Qantas marketed flights (i.e. need to be on the QF flight number).

I wonder if the OP was mislead by this incorrect statement on ausbt.com.au?

First up: you can glide through those frosted Qantas First Lounge doors if you hold Emerald status with any oneworld partner airline (such as Qantas Platinum, Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Diamond and British Airways Executive Club Gold), and if you're flying with Qantas, Jetstar or a oneworld airline.

I've heard that the person whose name is on the byline gets some ideas from here so maybe ha can correct his error. It does show he really doesn't know what he is posting.

Agree - didn't they also muck up the statement concerning AAdmirals Club membership and posted that AA membership didn't entitle you to access to QF clubs? (they got confused with the wording on the OneWorld website that said paid club memberships didn't entitle users to OneWorld lounge access and ignored the reciprocal rights between AA/QF)

Got that link??? You are incorrect.. So don't expect to get access.

I have taken in some information for the ausbt site . There also was a thread here how they also thought jetstar was marketed as a oneworld partner.

Uf you have premier 1k I can help you with the AA status match .

You said QF marketed JQ as a Oneworld partner on it's site. Now you are saying that it was off the Ausbt site.

You are on a JQ code, which according to the QF site quite clearly gets you no access. Again I suggest, why waste your time when there is a plethora of information correctly suggesting that non-QF OWE do not get lounge access on JQ?

Ok I'll ask... how did you get your premier 1K on UA?? :) (and if you status matched that... how did you get status in the original program?)

Tiger had the $10 I price beat for $9 ;)

WTF? Are you seriously saying that you stuffed around (wasting both your own time and that of some airline/travel agency) to save a total of $4??

I love finding a bargain, and in fact some of the fares I have managed to jag around the world have been awesome enough I almost feel guilty. But nothing I have ever pulled comes close to the amazing expectations you seem to have. Surely there comes a point where you lose all fun?

As per someone´s previous request, would love to hear how you reached your staatus heights. Am interested through sheer fascination, but I suspect once the truth comes out I will have no intent to emulate it.

I'm guessing it wasn't a $1 price beat, rather that JQ will price match less 10% so the $10 airfare comes a JQ $9 fare. The JQ fare may have been 100+ for all we know..

I'm normally in favour of the doyens of lounge entry making "one time exceptions" etc, however every now and again I take the opposite viewpoint and would like to see the rules strictly enforced.

I don't want to offend anyone I'm just asking the question . I also have never flown on tiger airways and haven't ears good things so I would rather go with JQ and I also had a $50 travel voucher to burn was another reason to go with JQ .

Thank you for everyone's helpful comments .
