Gold Coast Lounge AFF, Lounge is aware of our visit tomorrow from 1400 see you all there. No issues re ATA either.

If I get there early (I mean like 13:30, not 09:00 or anything ) should I wait downstairs or is it safe to approach the desk? Will Annette be there?

I'm sure that if you tell them you are there for the AFF do that the Lounge angels will let you in.

They are aware of the function and so is Zowie Premium Guest Leader, who is also working today at OOL.

Hi all. Well I'm disappointed to say that we can't make it this afternoon. I've been sprung upon from some NQ relatives who are down for my nephews football which is being played here on the GC (in the rain). We went to watch the football, quickly dropped into the lounge for a quick look and coffee but unfortunately we now have family committment to prioritize. We're terribly sorry for the late notice and welshing.

On an up side, the lounge is great. Congrats DJ. On a downside, security sceening still sucks at OOL.

Good to put some faces to the names and it's the best place to relax before a weather delayed OOL flight.

Thanks to Zowie & the lounge angels for their hospitality.

I promise to keep ATA whistle stop visits to a bare minimum.

Firstly... Many thanks to Major for offering his kindness to guest me in today. I was most grateful for this.
It was really nice to view the lounge & it's wonderful location & offerings.. The most important factor in the facility was the wonderful smiling lounge service offered from the fantastic guest service staff..
Personal congratulations to Zowie ... You a most welcoming host & manager for your lounge.. The warm personality & personalised interest was well received & recognised.
On a further note, though not a large member turnout for this event, but it was great to meet Major, Sam, bigbadbyrnes & Reg Reagan in person.. You are all nice guys to sit in comfortable surrounds & have a chat..

For the record we were all very well behaved, certainly not over indulging & certainly did not overstay our welcome..

I'm glad you lot had a nice afternoon. I'm disappointed I wasn't able to catch up on this occassion but the brightside is with the weather like it is, lounge lounging and socalising was not such a bad idea!!

(PS, my nephews team is through to the finals today.........it's precipitating down outside just now!)

Visited the lounge this morning and was extremely happy with the opening this week coinciding with our trip we planned a few months ago.Had planned on arriving early to the lounge this morning but was late as usual so was happy to hear the flight was delayed 15mins giving us 40 mins to relax.Staff were all super friendly and happy to help.The way flying should be.

Actually, did it seem to be overstaffed this weekend? Perhaps part of the opening process? There just seemed to be a ton of staff about!

I went to check out the Lounge on Sunday and overall I was completely impressed. It actually exceeded my expectations.

From the "regional lounge" announcement I was a bit concerned this lounge might be no better than the fairly standard lounge at Mackay. But alas it is a mini Brisbane lounge which fits perfectly for OOL.

It's the perfect size and contains all the niceties you expect from a Virgin Lounge. It also has the best Runway and Apron views from any Virgin lounge. I love the new seating and the various "rooms" so you can either watch TV, view the runway or sit in the quiet zones.

Another big plus are the well positioned Flight Arrival/Departure signs. They are very handy.

Well done Virgin, I look forward to enjoying the lounge many time this year.

Congratulations Virgin Australia. Dropped in today at lunch time to have a look and it is fantastic. Staff were very attentive and it has a great feel. Love the break-up of all the areas: the whole space has been well thought out and designed. I look forward to dropping by for my flights... and the occasional ATA It has been well worth the wait. Now... how about that Lounge in CNS...!

I will have my chance on the night of June 12 for the ool to cbr flight. Anyone interested in catching up, should be there from about 7pm for the 9ish departure.
