Yes - Mal knew his limitations straight away. The penny hasn't apparently dropped for Mr Diaz .... or Tony Abbott for that matter.
It will probably take several terms for both. Diaz is young, he's got another twenty years in him easy. My advice is not to stress too much while you are waiting to be proven right. Enjoy your old age.Yes - Mal knew his limitations straight away. The penny hasn't apparently dropped for Mr Diaz .... or Tony Abbott for that matter.
Craig Thomson would be the closest. No business experience, but if he were ever asked to organise something in a whatsit, he would be Labor's goto guy.Indeed. I'd also like to know how many Labor politicians have ever run a business.
There's a lot of economics teachers in this thread.Does not having done something exclude one from commenting on it ?
Have you ever watched Question Time, when the Government front bench reveal that they are - knowing full well that they are on live broadcast to the nation and their answers recorded in hardback books - unable to give straight answers to simple questions? When a person cant answer two simple questions, then it shows they dont even follow the news to be able to make up an answer.
Unlike all the lawyers on the other side!
When a person cant answer two simple questions, then it shows they dont even follow the news to be able to make up an answer. Then you end up like in QLD where voters elected a 20 year old that spent more time twittering in parliament, then formulating questions and answers for a changing world economy. So that what you get for wasting your vote.
So when you elect people who dont have a single thought in their mind, then you get follow the leader, and no one willing to challenge what the leader says or does.
Totally agree there.Lawyers are more involved in business and hell...
I seem to recall someone looked into it, and the only members from the two major parties who had done anything close to "real work" in their lifetimes were Malcolm Turnbull and Peter Garrett.Indeed. I'd also like to know how many Labor politicians have ever run a business.
And if things are so bad here, well someone should tell my friend who is currently overseas. They cant wait to get back here as they seen the bad things happening over there.

Oh, he has an answer. It's the same answer he has any time someone actually asks for details:It just shows that his master Mr Tony has no policies. You cant tell me after 4 years of making out the government has failed on the boats that you wouldnt have an answer.

Funny how they missed the welder who has been in Parliament since 1996. The APH site lists previous employments in each member's biography. A little research shows all sorts of real jobs.I seem to recall someone looked into it, and the only members from the two major parties who had done anything close to "real work" in their lifetimes were Malcolm Turnbull and Peter Garrett.

... Crocodile catcher and farmer from 1982. ...
So how many business's have you run then ?
Not at all.
But not having done so may affect any experiental credence given to such comment.
Clearly you missed the interview for the labor candidate destined to take over Gillard's seat. She quite rightly got dumped.
