Platinum - I've finally made it!!!

Hi All,

Not sure if this belongs here but tried searching in the forum, unsuccessfully..

I am SG with just over 1300 Status Credits.. my anniversary in Feb 11, but I have no major travel plans coming up.. Just maybe 1 or most 2 trips SYD-MEL-SYD..

So I reckon, I may finish @ 1380

Does anyone has experience in making WP with 20 Status Credits short? or is it strictly 1400?

PS: Infact I had made this many Status by Oct End (after my US trip).. but due to work and personal reasons.. have had no travels in Nov and Dec... But anyways.. that's not Qantas problem !! ;-)

Well... pleased to announce that I have made it over the line as well... Returning from Perth today.. I crossed over... now Challenge will be to maintain as normally my work travels are mostly domestic and in Discount Y...

Noticed an immediate change when I called QF today. The service on the phone was excellent. I really hope this wasn't a once off.

This is my first time, and I'm already noticing the benefits (arrival access at airports, more guests into lounge, the Domestic Business Lounge, express lane immigration, personal service on flights, better phone service), and I'm going to have to keep it now.

I can't thank everyone here for all your help in getting this and hopefully keeping this - I feel like it's a tremendous achievement.

After my BA flight on Saturday back down to Sydney it is official. Me and the Mrs. are now officially WP. Took the opportunity to change all the seats in my upcoming trips to something better free exit row seats on BA in whY and emerald city on QF, life is good as WP. Now let those op-up's come my way for once

Congrats on achieving Qantas Platinum.

You could rewrite the statement and instead of page last pax to board, you actually get your name called out for not yet boarded your flight.

April 30 JQ35 paged,
May 26 QF19 paged twice,
June 4 QF127 paged once.

3 announcements for 3 flights in a row I thought is a good achievement. :shock:

Just make sure you have luggage checked so they can't off load you too easily.
