Well, mine was booked through AMEX online travel. I just spoke to them. I will be getting full refund PLUS a return of the travel voucher credit with a 12 month expiry date. HOWEVER, it will take up to 12 weeks! I'm happy to be getting a full refund and the travel credit back. I wish the travel credit would come through sooner as we could have used it as well as this year's for a domestic trip in Sept. But I'm happy with the full refund without any deadline.
Those who booked directly with Qantas may have better luck with a shorter wait period.
Now I have to deal with the booking I have with American Airlines - I was able to cancel online for a full credit but it has a 12 month expiry and I'd rather have the US$ back in cash. Not sure if I will succeed given I cancelled and not AA, but I'm going to try!
