Especially as we head into the Christmas season and capacity for certified test labs (not state health test sites) becomes a factor.Hopefully all the issues around PCR tests will be resolved this week, as flights start the next. I expect we will see PCR tests dropped for departures of fully vaccinated persons.

I could imagine the situation where heaps of people are denied boarding due to issues with test results being delayed.
Depends on if they insist on using full commercial PCR with detailed results. A lot harder to fake than a text.I suspect there will be an enormous amount of fake tests

Well if you’re determined, everything can be faked. Not really.
My view is anyone involved anywhere in this chain (fake-vax-cert-maker to holder of fake-vax-cert/test results) should at a minimum receive same penalty as counterfeiter $$$. Except this can result in potentially making people ill or worse…Well if you’re determined, everything can be faked.
Yeah, the UK are on their high-risk country list and PCR test is required, whereas Australia is still on their safe list and even remained on the safe list during the NSW outbreak and now the VIC out break so should remain there hopefully.Post automatically merged:
I just went to the Netherlands (from UK) and I had to do a PCR test before departure. You also need to be tested every day if you want to go to a bar/restaurant etc, unless you have a EU vaccination app.
Agree, on a recent trip down to Liberia I had to end up getting a last minute PCR test because my transit point changed from vaccination proof only to PCR test. Always check, double check and then triple check a few days before you set off!The testing requirements can be a bit of a minefield - particularly if you're travelling to or transiting multiple countries, but honestly its great to see that travel is possible back home and I for one am planning to be back in Melbourne in early Feb. I found some really good J fares out of Rome.
I hope the covid testing rules become at least more unified across countries/airlines, and I think we will get there. In the meantime, get booking

Security!!..Not really - Give me about 10 seconds… well anyone under the age of 40 really could do it in a minute
Yup, it’s very easy.

There is a reality where you perhaps get tested prior to boarding the plane home and are positive but no symptoms - that is at least 2 weeks on to the end of your trip. And then either hoping for a negative test or trying to find a Doctor who will certify a recovery if you test positive again.
Might be more interesting in a foreign country however, particularly if it is one that does not have a big tourist market.Rest assured there will be a whole industry geared towards providing these certifications Clinics have sprung up all over London for eample offering every test imaginable... and in every time frame imaginable. These range from walk-in sites to Harley Street practices that will come to you in your hotel (£500 for that service!). There will probably be a separate booth for the 'certified recovery' cohort.

Well a curve ball for me… tested positive last night. This means I can’t get a clear PCR for six months approximately. Looking forward to lots of arguments with people who need to accept my exemption…There will also be $4 places where you can get test certificates too in 5 minutes.
I don’t think the testing is going to last very long though.
