Removal of a benefit requires six months advance warning.
If I was being very cynical I might suggest Qantas has already removed it!!!!

Not really. Domestic priority boarding on qantas aircraft is within the control of qantas and they could provide it. In fact they intended to provide it via PA announcements, which have stopped or never happened. Qantas does not control the CCR and saying WP has access probably contravenes the agreement with BA/OW. They seem to be different situations.
I was just using one of a million example Medhead.
I noticed that JQi seems to have quite a good 'priority' boarding lane - too rushed to snap a pic though. Interestingly, JQ allows pax to pay for the privilege. Is this where QFd is headed too?
I think you are on to something there.I noticed that JQi seems to have quite a good 'priority' boarding lane - too rushed to snap a pic though. Interestingly, JQ allows pax to pay for the privilege. Is this where QFd is headed too?
Since Qantas has acknowledged our enthusiasm for priority boarding and are (I presume) spending time and money implementing it - I can only imagine they are also going to offer it to non-status passengers for a fee.
I mean, every change they make needs to generate revenue/profit, right?
Boy, the conspiracy theories are really heating up in this thread
Qantas have always had priority boarding for premium pax on international flights, and they have never offered it to non-premium pax at a fee. I don't really understand why you think they would start now.
Possibly because they've gone that way in other respects, like checked baggage.

I think your definition of conspiracy differs to mine.Boy, the conspiracy theories are really heating up in this thread
Some of the FIFO routes l did were charter only, direct to the mine site, National Jet Systems for QF. You got QF points and SC's, even though the general public couldn't purchase tickets for these flights.
I would argue we have already paid for it in our spending to get 1200 SCs.

I'm sure some buzz-word laden exec is going to synergize the cough out of this whole thing and somehow walk away with a nice bonus because of it.
There is nothing immoral about profit :!:Their mantra would have to be 'profit ain't a dirty word' - just like ego I'm sure!
I wonder if one of the QF will see my BP and join the dots "Good Morning mr Simon Grxx_xx_ - waitaminute aren't you that whinger about priority boarding???"
Well it's great to see that Qantas is doing something about this.So it seems there is some movement and QF are doing some trials.
