While no curtain is good for row 4, I wonder is the legroom in row 4 still a bonus or ha that been enhanced as well? Interested in any feedback.

I don't believe any other rows were changed - just removal of galley and slimline toilets to create Row 30 space. Certainly doubt any changes ahead of the exit rows

That's good - though row 4 isn't an exit row.

Appears a few 737s have snuck into BNE according to theqantassource, can't identify anything in SYD.

Assuming refurbs

Very confusing.

We have VZC today which seems to mean no on demand IFE. But a flight to BNE has XZA, which is seat back IFE. Yet the flight board in the lounge is telling people to download the Q streaming app. Normal disappointment to have [-]XZP[/-] XZJ sitting at the gate next to mine.

Does anyone know if the new row 30 has a window? Assume there were plugs in the windows (if they extend that far back) when it was a bathroom, but wondering if they have converted back to windows?

Having just flown on a refurb I can now confirm myself row 30 does have a window

Does anyone know if the refurbs include removing the curtain between J and Y?

I was on VXC today which has just been done and there was no curtain and a constant stream of Y pax using the J toilet. As 98% on my travel is in Y (today being an exception), I couldn't care less. But I know there are plenty on the forum who believe the people in the narrow seats should use the narrow loos.

I can also confirm that the curtain between J & Y has gone the way of the dodo - and I am very sorry to see it go (even as one usually flying behind the curtain)! To me - the J cabin should be a completely separate zone and that includes a physical separation which not only helped prevent people walking forward to use the J cabin but gave the J cabin a bit of it's own ambience - now completely lost. To me - it was also just more classy, throw the curtain away and pop in a cheap plastic divider and it certainly feels like they have gone cheap and reduced the desirability of the J cabin.

Just some notes on the change at the back of the cabin - leg room behind the exits does not seem to have been effected (as they promised), I sat in a couple of rows to get a feel. Row 30 itself though looks like it would have limited recline due to hitting the wall of the bathroom. When it comes to the new slimline bathroom itself - I would say when actually using the toilet you have about the same amount of room as before - however what has gone is all the bench space and a proper basin - so now there is this awful little drain with a weird tap where you can hardly wet your hands without it going all over the floor (or yourself). I was thinking a better design would have been to put the basin behind the toilet (like those toilets that incorporate a basin into the cistern), that would have been more practical and freed up a bit of space near the door!

Anyway - just my 2 cents :)

VZA out and flying, and added to the seatmap, so that makes 14

VH-VYH yesterday. The same J seats but now in a nice leather, I think they look great. I was not a fan of the lack of a curtain between Y and J either, no more exclusive feel at all! BAD MOVE QF!

Biggest issue from the lack of a curtain in my view is the J bathroom will now be more frequently used by Y pax. I've been on two refurbed birds now - one flight was very short an no-one used the bathroom. The other was just under 2 hours, I was in Row 6 and saw at least 5 people from behind me go up to the bathroom. Only the J cart now provides a disincentive.

Crew say a lot of the passengers don't like this change either. But simply no one (or not enough people) put it into writing stating their disappointment - therefore they won't look at fixing it.

Good point, I have just send feedback to customer care, why not.
