Wondering if the passes can be used in the International J Lounge?

Which lounge are your referring to specifically?

If Sydney international Qantas business lounge then the answer is definitely yes.

Please do, I'm in the same boat and also hold the VA Amex. I'm pretty happy with the 50k though as that was enough to get me over the line for a 280k J rtw

Amex posted 32,500 points in my account today, taking me up to the full 82,500. Woohoo!

That's very cool. Did they notice that you had two cards when you called up to ask about the missing points?

Thanks

David

Not mentioned when I called up. I simply put an escalation request to Marketng, no communication since then and voila.

Now which color toasters to get from QF store this time?

Hit my 3k spend this week and noticed Amex awarded me with 75,000 points. Is the other 5000 issued directly through Frequent Flyer and will not show on my Amex statement ?

You should have got 5000 point activation bonus after your first spend

Hi Tania, would this be listed on my Amex Statement (because I cannot see it) or would it appear straight on my FF account. There was over 6000 points added in Feb but not sure what that is from (looking at this on my FF account)

It would be on your Amex account look for the + sign and when you click on it the bonus points become clearer

I'm an idiot. I have just found it. Thanks Tania for clearing that up

Re: Qantas American Express Premium card /82,500 QFF points / $249 / $3k spend 3 mont

Hi there - I'm new to this forum but applied for the 82,500 QFF Points with Amex / Qantas. I got the card and recently checked my balance and I received the 42,500 points and 5000 points after the first 2 spends. I phoned up Amex to enquire why I received these points and they tell me I don't get the 80,000 points on this referral. The referral link took me directly to the 80,000 points offer. The 'customer service' gentleman I spoke to said he will escalate this and I will hear back in (wait for it...) 4-6 weeks! I need to know whether I should spend the $3k within 3 months to get the 80,000 points or give up. Waiting up to 6 weeks for clarification is farcical. Does anyone have a suggestion of someone I could speak to at Amex to clear this up? Thanks for your time...

Future suggestion: always take screen shots of the website/pages stating the offer.

Send them a copy of the link you used to apply and the date you applied or a copy of the offer.

I took up this offer and got my points no problem.. In fact points went across about a week before I got the statement.

Re: Qantas American Express Premium card /82,500 QFF points / $249 / $3k spend 3 mont

The link unfortunately seems to just show the current offer - it now shows an offer of 47,500 points after $500 spent in 3 months + extra 2,500 points on a selected qantas product or service . I was gobsmacked when Amex said it would take up to 6 weeks to get back to me. I have never experienced such poor cusrtomer service with a credit card / bank.

You haven't spoken with Citibank?

I spent an hour and ten minutes on hold to anz yesterday. I have generally found amex to be quite reasonable.

I would call and tell them 6 weeks isn't good enough, ask the persons name (that always makes them more accountable) and ask them to personally follow up the case or escalate to their marketing team.

I've found Amex fine too - with any points issues, I have just online messaged them when logged into my account(s), and found the turnaround in response and resolution pretty good..
