Thanks for the referral Kamchatsky.

Signed up for the card two months ago. It is a very good card and been using it as my main card, and had no issues so far, with most retailers ive used accepting Amex. I think Amex is becoming more widely accepted.

Ive have bought a Qantas Gift Voucher at the last 5x QFF points and i now can redeem my complimentary flight.

Any one wanting to use my referral code, here it is:

Id be most grateful as im planning a RTW trip next July 2017.

I should say Thank You! Good luck with your RTW trip in 2017!

Just got my card a few days ago - the 82.5K will push me over the 280K mark, can't wait!

Good stuff. ;)
These amex bonuses certainly do help build the balances quickly and are very useful if you need a large top-up for a holiday or something.

Just a note to the mods though.
I do believe that these 82,500 point referrals for the Amex express premium card are a tad confusing here in the ultimate card thread. They are different products despite being largely similar. Maybe a new thread should be started for this card?

Edit: Just noticed that there is an amex premium card thread which was created after this post. Maybe the this post and the ones above should be merged into that one? (post 29 and down). Credit should surely go to the first poster (Serotonin)

If anyone is looking for a fantastic AMEX card with great benefits, I have this card and love it.

You get : 80,000 bonus points (drip-fed to you on each of three milestones : first card spend 5,000 points, $500 total card spend 72,500 points, first spend on this card with Qantas 2,500 points PLUS one free domestic return flight. Plus you get all the usual Amex bonuses like 3 x points for restaurant spend (including at places like Maccas and KFC etc so a bit of a bargain to get 30 Velocity points for buying a big mac and fries!), and their awesome statement credits which give you regular money off spend at selected merchants.
Annual card fee $450 (charged on your first statement) - which is at least 2/3 offset by the free Qantas flight so it's not that much in the grand scheme of things considering you get 80k QFF points as well.
And if you sign up using THIS LINK I get : 20,000 QFF points - which will help me fly to the UK to visit family in 2017 so I would be eternally grateful to anyone who signs up via my link

My link is still available as well.

It's a great card. The freebie QF flight each year is also very handy (I go to PER a lot to visit my aging parents so nest a PER-MEL-PER with a paid flight to effectively make it a twofer!).

If anyone wants a cool 80k points and doesn't mind gifting me 20k in the process, please use my link

get a bonus 80,000 Qantas points (and gift me 20k at the same time!).

Mine are good through end of May 2016 if people are trying to make up their minds :)

In the mean time, if you are interested in applying the Qantas Ultimate American Express card, it would be grateful if you apply through the link below from the Original Poster of this thread:

Here's my referral link for this fantastic card - it is a must in your wallet if you eat out often as it gives 3 points per dollar on all restaurant/cafe spend (particularly great if you pay the bill for the group and have everyone give you cash or transfer their share!) - Restaurants/Cafe's also generally have good Amex acceptance.

Also great for travelers as it's 3 points per dollar on QF spend and 2 points per dollar on all other airlines, cruise lines, accommodation, travel agencies plus all foreign spend (including online)! On top of this you get a free Qantas Domestic flight each year after your first QF spend - which means you can actually get great value out of the $450 annual fee!

With the 80000 extra Qantas points on offer when you apply by 31 May 2016 - it is unquestionably a great card to have if you like travelling and eating out, which I imagine is most people here!

Am getting close to another QF/OneWorld award and a couple of referral bonuses will get me there - so thanks in advance to anyone who uses my referral :)

Share the love ;) You've had heaps of points already heh.

Glad to also share my referral link here. I'm 17k points from my next holiday, would greatly appreciate a click on this link!

As others have mentioned, the 80k bonus is made up of 77.50k for your first $500 spend, and 2.5k when you spend with QF Air Australia.

The other big bonus is the return domestic flight on QF - last year, I redeemed this flight PER to East Coast, upgraded to J, and still had points spare :) Easily converting the $450 annual fee into $4k worth of flights.

Apply by 31 May. Standard exclusion for "existing Card Members or previous Card Members who have held any American Express Card in the last 12 months".
