Qantas Business Class meals & menus

ummmm..this thread is about QF DOMESTIC BUSINESS CLASS MEALS... I suggest suze2000 avail themselves of the 'special dietary' options that can be pre ordered on QF domestic flights (available at time of booking)...they may better suit your 'requrements'

I feel your sarcasm, tone and content of your post is unwarranted. I was commenting on the BUSINESS CLASS MEALS (that you so capitalised) that were published on the previous page.

Date: JAN 14
Flight: QF675 MEL - ADL (0805)
Service: Breakfast
Meal: French Toast with ham, poached egg, spinach and hollandaise.

Alternatives: Toasted Museli

An interesting service enhancement, asked for a newspaper and was told that they no longer offer them on board - thats a change from my last flight in December.

None on this morning's flight either!

You could pick a copy up from the gate as you board or you can pick up a copy from the lounge...

True. But my hands were full and I didn't think I'd need too, as I've always been offered a selection of papers on board.

now you know for next time ... were your hands full of too much cabin luggage that QF kindly 'let you get away with' ...
my apologies for replying to an OT post

Don't let it worry you Suze - he does that a lot ( and yells a lot :). ).

You'd think they could lavish us with a newspaper on a $600+ ticket eh?
Newspapers stopped a couple of months ago, with a fair stack provided in the lounges. There were none at the gate for a while but they have returned, as I expect quite a few FFs headed straight to the gate, and bypassed the lounge. (Strange concept, I know).

No, actually. Laptop bag and a small carry on.

Duly noted! I must of had a few rouge FA's in Decemeber offering them then!

Date: JAN 14
Flight: QF723 ADL - ASP (1050)
Service: Refreshment
Meal: Poached Chicken with quinoa and mixed grain salad. Pretty tasty salad overall.

Alternatives: Cheese Board or a soup which I forget!

I was offered newspapers inflight twice last weekend, on the BNE-TSV and BNE-ADL legs if I recall correctly.

SYD-ASP-SYD. Both offered almost identical offerings. soup, salad or cheese. Even though ASP-SYD is lunch and SYD-ASP is refreshment the meal choices are essentially identical. Both flights (on consecutive days) offered Leak soup and the same cheese board. The salad on SYD-ASP was salmon and the return was that chicken with mixed grain. I think ASP-SYD should offer a choice of TWO hot meals. It is pathetic to offer a bowl of soup on what is a 3 hour sector leaving right on noon. QANTAS - do something about it. Give us back the hot meals for lunch. Not good enough IMO. On the plus side the service was nice.

Also - I have heard that BAILEYS is about to be enhanced away from the business class domestic drink offerings. Penny pinching like that is absurd.

Yeah. I had the same. Pretty disappointing to get the same meal up and back. I managed to get the Salmon and Potato salad on the SYD-MEL leg after my ASP trip which was tasty.

I wouldn't of been able to eat three chickens in a row!

I know what you mean. In my household we only eat a 1/4 each
