Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Thankfully for those who love them. Having tasted one of Mrs QF WP's in Fiji, I almost vomited as the vinegar was easily tasted - thought they would have transferred it back into hot water before serving

Looking forward to seeing quite a few meal reviews this weekend :D
I am hoping for an "any meal" review. ;)

Is breakfast on trans-Tasman flights any different to that offered on domestic flights?

Only one recent experience with breakfast in J and essentially the same, yes. Slightly more extensive service with fruit / yoghurt and offers of bread / pastries (though I've had pretty similar on the early Cairns-Brisbane flight, for example).

AFAIK they are basically the same although it has been 9 months since I last did it.

Thanks, might just give it a go.

I just got back from a trip to Shanghai via Hong Kong. the Sydney - Hong Kong legs were Qantas. The Hong Kong Shanghai legs were Cathay Pacific.
I must say that the 2hr Cathay leg food was far better than the 10hr Qantas legs. The business class food choices were really pathetic. the best on one leg was a chicken and avocado foccacia for a main meal! On the Cathay leg for lunch - Filet Steak was a choice.
There were better western food choices on the intra-Asian legs of the Asian carrier than the Australian carrier!
Qantas slipping further and further behind on inflight dining!
I've given Qantas the feedback before via the panel. I would seriously consider going Cathay now on Matched legs instead of QF metal.

BNE-MEL afternoon flight on Friday (refreshment)

Antipasto plate and Banofee pie.

IMG_0383.jpg

Artichoke was spectacular... a bit of a smoky taste. I was initially unimpressed with the choices but picked the winner!

Other choices:

Cheese box
Some kind of soup (I can't remember)

Wine:

2013 St Hallett Shiraz... which the FA noticed I took a shining too after being the only person in J drinking it and going through about a bottle and a half ...

i presume the left overs went into the QANTAS bag in the photo.

Has anyone tried the tom yum soup? I have to say I'm getting a bit bored with it being the only hot option at the moment outside of meal times (on east coast routes anyway). I just can't bring myself to order soup.

Love the Tom Yum soup, my choice for supper on QF. Good spicy flavours but too bad they don't add prawns like in the main dish option on east-west coast routes.

Coming back from BNE yesterday, the woman behind me in 3C asked the hostie "What's the cheese box?".

The hostie, very seriously, replied "It's a box with cheese in it".
