Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Looking at the above posts, I had a the same Spanish Chicken in economy flying SYD-PER early this month. Does Qantas serve the same dish in both non-transcon Business and transcon Economy, but just plated/presented differently??

It wouldnt surprise me. They all come from Q catering

QF1073 BME-PER on 2 October

A lunch flight. There were two options in business class - barramundi with potato and broccolini, or a beef salad with quinoa.

I chose the barramundi, which was honestly one of the best meals I've ever had on a plane. The fish was delicious and you could actually taste the freshness.

According to the CSM, the Business catering for flights out of Broome is provided by the Cable Beach Resort and is locally sourced.

QF864 SYD-OOL 8th October

First time on Domestic Business...and I didn't take photos! For a 430pm flight the first option was a cheese box/platter with crackers, a date, apricot conserve and some vanilla/banana mousse wrapped in a thin pastry. Second was a beef salad with roast pumpkin, chickpeas and something else. Will have photos next time!

Looks like I forgot to post this last week...

QF589 BNE-PER on 30 September

This was a breakfast flight. The choices for the main plate were a fruit plate; macadamia nut muesli with cranberries; scrambled eggs with mushroom, tomato, kale and feta; or an Asian omelette with pork mince, mushrooms and a soy broth.

I chose the omelette and it was very nice:

This was my first time in the new A330 J suite - was very impressed. Great service from the crew too!

Had the omelette for lunch on an ADL-SYD last week, I thought it was great!

Got a beef toasted sandwich on the return, which wasn't too flash. There was a lamb and pumpkin salad that looked very good though.

Ive also had the pork omelette a couple of times in the last few weeks and whilst it sounds a bit odd, I really enjoyed it!

I love mixing/changing/adapting the 'traditional'/BORING (Aust) cuisine....we are so blessed to live in such a melting pot of cuisine styles. :)

Since when has banana cream pie been on an Australian airlines' dessert menu? Good to see some changes if that turns out to be that. Now I'm looking forward to my flight in J BNE/CNS on Friday - hoping to get it now.

Ive had it before

I't's actually a retro, English dish called Banoffee pie.

Banana, cream and caramel in a shortcrust pastry - what's not to love? :)
I was going to suggest that but could not see the caramel, is it on the bottom of the filling. Anyway always loved the Banoffee pie while I was in London....and good on you Red Roo for answering this puzzle:)

Red wine on all flights was S.C. Pannell Grenache Shiraz Touriga 2013, pretty good!

FYI, flights were not done on the same day :p

Does anyone have examples of what a mid-morning "refreshment" meal looks like?

I had a MEL-SYD return in J on the weekend and was really disappointed that they did not have Baileys on both sectors, even on an evening flight.
I could've sworn that they have had it before! :(
The FA mentioned that they only have it in international J, not domestic...

I'm sure I've had it on domestic.
