Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I totally agree... hello bean salad for starters and dry pasta for mains.... I am so sick of it, I complained to QF and they apologised... Lo and behold, beans on the next flight. Give vegetarians a decent meal - fried rice with veggies, chickpea burgers, spinach & ricotta lasagne, geez it's not hard.

Prawn and noodle salad, not bad. With a GB sparkling

I had that flying Trans Tasman 2 weeks ago.

While it wasn't that substantial (I was glad I ate in the First lounge before the flight), it was still quite nice.

QF655 CNS-BNE 24 March 17:10pm departure

Crumbed pork with veges. Other option was a hot rock seared salmon salad

QF610 MEL - BNE refreshment this morning
Olive and sun dried tomato tart - very ordinary

Good crew though

Long time lurker, first post.
Was on the same flight (1C) and had the same. I liked it, although it was a bit dry.
CSM was brilliant, have sent QF feedback.

Welcome aboard Rangalad, yes I found the pastry dry and the leaves were undressed and didn't make sense to me. I had breakfast in the lounge before departure so really didn't need it

The positive for me was the CSM - I best get my finger out and also send feedback. I called into the new lounge for a takeaway coffee before collecting my luggage- looks good

Wed 29/3 QF PER/SYD

Awesome meal with service to match from CSM Andrew Smith

Pre-dinner drinks and nuts

Starter - seared tuna. Nicely presented but a touch bland (sauce was the let down)

Main - squid ink noodles with salmon. Stand out was the soy sesame sauce - made up for the starter. Would have gone back for seconds.

Dessert - seasonal cheese. Needed quince paste to combine nicely with the cheese but had to opt for the dessert wine instead. Young but smooth apricot taste

Wed 29/3 QF PER/SYD (continued)

Somehow a second dessert made it to me - but as usual was as hard as a brick so had to leave for it to melt and make edible. Nice taste and complimented with a healthy drizzle of dessert wine

Wed 29/3 QF SYD/BNE

I was tired after the PER flight and spent more time telling my 1A seat mate about AFF than eating.

The pastry was too dry and needed copious glasses of some second rate Shiraz to wash down

I have not had many posts, however have been a member for some time and find the form interesting and helpful.

The business class meals I found to be hit and miss recently, below are some examples (sorry did not take images of the food)

QF846 Sydney to Darwin 24/3 - (Dinner)The plate had 2 x Tiny lamb loin chops, 2/3 of the plate was peas, and 1 tiny chat potato, pretty ordinary I think (made up for it in wine)
QF843 Darwin to Sydney 25/3 - (Lunch)The plate had 2 x Polenta Puffs, Chicken Maryland, Some capsicum/chill, and a drizzle of sauce, one of the best meals I have had on a plane
QF575 Sydney to Perth 27/3 - (Breakfast)This was the chicken sandwich, which was ok however a bit boring. I do like their energizer drinks, the green one pictured below was quite nice.
QF575 Sydney to Perth late 2016 (Breakfast) all meal choices were vegetarian, I thought it was strange however what I ate was not too bad.

QF659 CNS-BNE 31/3 - 12:45pm departure

3 choices - soup, toasted sandwich, vegetarian salad

I opted for the salad this time. Nice but would be nice if there was an option for some meat

QF529 BNE - SYD Lunch service

I chose the Ruben sandwich - it was ok

Other options were warm cauliflower soup or Roast chicken salad

I had a great run earlier this year not seeing toasted sandwiches for meals in J for several flights. Sadly they seem to be back. Not flying QF much at the moment and when I am it is short flights only so not a big deal.
