Well that's interesting, a snack service for 12.55pm departure? That's bizarre. What a pathetic little 'dessert', a piece of chocolate. This is getting pretty damn budget.

Very tasty. They had 6 - the first 6 passengers offered this took it up. Sorry for the other 6

I was a bit surprised myself. Maybe to make up for the lack of a good lounge?

I realised later than 1D and 1C were both CLPO (Chairmans Lounge Platinum One - in industry parlance its not P1 but PO) - overheard FA mentioning status while they were chinwagging in the galley. 1A was WP1.

There were 2 CLPO, 3 WP1 and 10WP on that flight. Not sure if all were in J

But then we would get confused with C3PO. I think I will stick to P1 etc. ;)

not long till May 4 :D

Surprised the high elite load on an OOL flight unless big conference/conventions or something on. Not surprised at the Plat's though.

Still good service, and I agree the catering in J out of OOL has always been very good

Last nights flight from Mel to Bne. Crispy Pork belly. Wow i thought, things are looking up after my last J Dom flight where i was served frozen cheeze and dodgy chicken wings.

Not sure which meal was worse. The pork wasnt crispy (should have know better that to expect it on a plane, but thats how it was described to me)

One i removed the uncrisp rubbery skin, what was below was just unrendered fat

That moved out of the way there were 2 small bits of protein and some rice with ok Asian greens

I havent had much luck with Dom J food over the last few months

Having flown some J Int lately the difference between the catering is Antipodean to say the least.

From the last couple of pictures it looks like 'desserts' are being restricted? Just a little piece of chocolate now?

On my recent MEL-BNE and BNE-MEL J-class flights, that's what they were. I wouldn't say they are "little" compared eg with a single Lindt chocolate. But they are just a block of chocolate - about 6 squares.

I remember back in the day of domestic F when you got dessert AND a Bacio chocolate.
