Do as you please in F!
Frankly I'm more shocked to see the gap between the seats in F is so narrow that one can place his feet on the seat in front.
I think you need to be more culturally sensitive. Stubbies, singlets and thongs is considered to be smart casual in Queensland.
Up here in the Northern Territory, stubbies, singlets and thongs is considered appropriate business attire, but only if business thongs are worn.
Naturally when going out at night we wear dress thongs.

then you obviously have not travelled in/seen in person, the F/C cabin to know how the seat/space actually works

Foul.......Onboard in F.
Stay classy.....,
On my last project it was company policy for everyone to come dressed to work when returning from R&R.
Who makes up these silly policies?Same here.
I disagree with BAM1748 with respect to the comment about lower standards these days. Policies are still the same with all the companies I've seen in the last 8-9 years i.e. no work clothes / singlets / barefeet / gym clothing etc at dinner. Take away is usually not allowed.
Who makes up these silly policies?
No work clothes at dinner on site but work clothes in airports, airline lounges and planes is OK?

Well the people making these policies have no concern about lounges. That's up to the airline. That being said when someone is travelling to site, I would think that their clothes should be clean as they are coming from home. Those coming straight from site to the airport could possibly consider a clean shirt and pair of pants to change into.
I'm in the PER QP now and it is the first time I have been here and there is not one HiViz in sight. It is still very noisy / busy though
When I saw this little card in my hotel room I immediately thought of this thread! Of course sandals are fine with the local wear, but I think with a suit it's a fashion faux pas

What is wrong with nice shorts? It's hot, I'm wearing shorts now at the Hilton. So here we are again having to "respect" another culture. What about mine?
