I received the offer. Membership renewal date was 31/3 so after losing 600+ SCs I am back to zero, but Gold for this year at least. Have oneworld award flights booked for July/August (including 2 CX sectors) but nothing else. I'm starting to plan an Antarctic trip ex-Argentina but this is outside the promotion period.

Got my email as well. renewal date not until 31/10. already up to 1000 SC for the year, so surprised to get it this year (first year ever getting it). Tho I did start flying virgin domestically as a result of the double status credits. so my weekly flights suddenly stopped on QF.

I'm trying to nut out turning this into another 1200 SC and partner gold. (just so we can legitimately get the kids into the lounge later in the year )

Make sure you avoid BA lounges - if you have 3 or more kids aged under 12

Thanks for the clarification Red Roo. Very clear instrustions on those areas, but I'm sure there will be more questions (as there already have been).

Given that QF have 8 million members, I'd hazard a guess that not everybody got the email (for obvious reasons). There will be a number who can use it as well as those that can't (for all the reasons expressed here already). Yes it is disappointing that everyone here didn't get it, but not all of us have been targeted.

Apart from P1 members, it would appear from my viewing that there is a diverse range of members from the different status levels have been targeted.

Thanks to those replying to my earlier question (asking whether the bonus SCs are 'earned' on their flight date or on the crediting date). As there were differing answers, I contacted Red Roo, who confirmed that even if the bonus SCs do appear on the account after a change in membership year (for flights taken before the anniversary), they will be treated as though earned on the flight date.

In relation to refund vouchers, if we use them to book new flights, will they count towards the promotion? (provided the flights are within the period and meet the other rules etc)

Example.
I had a $150 voucher from a cancelled flight a couple of months ago. I book a flight where I use that and pay another $150 towards the flight.
Given the voucher has a booking reference and a date which has past and is not applicable to the special, will this credit double SC?

It is all based on when the travel commences for each flight segment. If the SIN-MEL flight departs on June 30, then you will earn double Status credits.

A J booking from LHR to MEL, departing LHR on 30 June, but with a change of flight number out of Singapore, and arriving MEL 1 July. Is the SIN-MEL leg eligible? No stopover. Just a change of a/c.

Wasn't expecting so not bothered. Only early in the earning year for me.

Perhaps if the TA changed my classic to a JASA for me coming back from HKG, it may have triggered the offer.

Would have been great, double's back from HKG, with a bit of potential coming up.

Not to be. No bitter email being sent to QF, as I don't see my BIS time being that great this year

From much reading of AFF, I believe it is standard that the voucher for a cancelled flight retains the original booking date.

I'd suggest you check if a times Zone is specified in the T&C, it might be midnight 30 June AEST. In which case an evening departure from LHR wouldn't qualify.

Happy to say that I've been included for the first time ever. Realistically (excluding any unexpected travel) I probably would have fallen a few hundred short of WP renewal but we're in the clear now.

Similar to those already mentioned, October renewal date and I'm about 50% of the way to renewal now. This will basically make me continue with QF for the next few months instead of some DJ travel

No guesswork required, but I did get a 2 for 1 Taronga Zoo offer today

Easy come, easy go. Looks like I'll have to try to retain WP the hard way, again.
I'd have to be getting close to 500 flights on QF since the start of 2008 - if that rate continues I guess it'll happen, double SC offer or not. Currently 5 days into my new QF year. So far 4 flights, 80 SCs

It's a shame loyalty bonuses don't give extra SCs instead of points.

I just got the Taronga Zoo "2 for 1" ticket offer from QF. Red Roo if you are reading this could you sort out the double SC offer for me so that I can book a flight from MEL to take advantage please?

I didn't get the Taronga Zoo offer, but Little Miss 5 did. We'd both like double SCs, too, please. And she needs to start earnig her own way to pay for trips to visit zoos in other cities.
