Qantas FF and Woolworths create new loyalty alliance

Nothing here.

Got my favourite one today - BWS - spend $30 or more and get 500 FF points.

"Offer can be used multiple times" until end of week.

Looks like a few trips to (higher-end) BWS stores are on the cards this week. Just have to make sure I don't spend more than $31 each time and/or only buy one bottle

That’s a great offer.

BWS has one of the highest margins of all the woolworths divisions, so I suppose they can afford to give it away.

Indeed, they are hardly giving the points away - compare BWS prices to Dan Murphy's and you see that you are paying for the points.

Still, apparently BWS haven't seen me for a while, so its a 500FF points offer for me this week.

All makes me wonder just how far ahead of time they come up with the offers. WW were missing me for three weeks in a row at one point.

The BWS offer can only really be compared with the Woolworths Liquor offer (which the BWS offer is miles ahead) due to your reasons stated above. I find that Dan Murphy is at least 15% cheaper than BWS, so in effect for a $31 purchase you are paying around $0.01/point.

Still a good offer if you are doing J redemptions all the same though...!

Well not activating my last couple of Woolies Liquor offers didn't stop me getting yet another Woolie Liquor offer again this week. :( If they are intent on pickling my liver I would be happier to receive the BSW offer this week.

Yes I realised later that BWS has high(er) margins.

Still a lot of points to be giving away.

Another week where all three of us have received nothing..

Weird as we all have got something in the past so we know it works but it has been a long time since the last one was offered.

Today marks 8 months since I last received an email.

And I like many others here get an average of one per week (Monday mornings unless its a public holiday...)

would be nice to know more specific information on your usage...

Do you just use the EDR card...?

Do you use both the EDR barcode & QEDRCC...?

Do you use the EDR card but pay with Amex, cash or other cards...?

Minimum spend per week, number of visits per week etc...

Excited to get an email this week - opened it to find: 50% off Pura low fat milk! Disappointing on two levels.

A. Why no bonus points?
B. Who decided I need to switch to low fat milk? Has my card number been linked to my image via the supermarket's CCTV? :)

Could this be one of the worst offers ever from EDR...

A spasmodic user as I work in Tasmania, travel a lot and our primary card is mrs.dr.rons.However I used to receive regular offers usually from BWS.
Pay with Amex.
Just before I stopped receiving emails I did go overboard on a Cow Bombie offer-buy 2 bottles and get a 100 bonus points.Found out there were 8 BWS stores between where I was working and home.

Maybe they thought they had created a monster?:lol:

Last offer I got was for a $30 recharge bonus points. I did not activate it.

I have had very little offers this year. I tried using the EDRCC but no action so I have reverted back to my Amex at least I get better points ratio. I stopped zaping my card for minor purchases (under $30) in the hope I would get an encouragement offer to spend more. No luck.

Not sure what else I can do to encourage some new offers. I never get BWS offers. I have rechecked my profile information. Come to think of it my offers have defintely dried up since I switched to points for petrol instead of 4c off discount.

Maybe its that. Do those that get offers every week have a points value at the petrol pump or cents off per litre?

I would have had 15+ offers this year, I also harvest points for fuel rather than discount per litre...

That's probably about when my offers dried up. Although I did get valentine's day offer of points for buying $10 of chocolate. I promptly made the purchase but forgot to swipe the card as it was less than $10. doh! Since then, nada.

I thought everyone got the same mailout? Only since coming on here it seems they tailor the mailout. Yesterday I got an offer to spend 150bucks this week in woolies and I get 500 bonus points - seems good to me!

Actually I would welcome 50% off low fat milk. I'd welcome anything at the moment.

Well I didn't end up getting a chance to use my EDR card while in Perth, however I did leave it with my parents to give it a swipe ; will let you know if it being used again generates any offers again!

I am 99% sure these offers keep flowing through as long as you generally activate and use them, there was a brief period where I did not take up their offers and the inbox was quiet for a week or two. I suggest that if you struggle to receive offers, then the next time you get one then you use it, this should trigger the system to "retain" your loyalty...

My 2¢ worth...:p

I activate every offer I get, yet still do not get them regularly. I've had 5 in total since the program launched. I've managed to take advantage of 2 of them, but the other 3 have all been when I was not in the country. I have all the information set to 'contact me with specials and offers 'on the EDR website.

Perhaps they don't like people who use Amex ;)

Got an offer on Tuesday morning (they know I'm in QLD so didn't send it on Monday morning?) but was all to do with healthcare products I've never bought. Go figure.

Ended up buying some Loreal shampoo for 100 points, but the offer was essentially un-targeted (though it was targeted to me) and useless.
