Hi Markis

Of late when I drive past Avalon I can see a blue 747 with a red tail sitting by the hangars. Whats the story?

Thanks Markis

Had a feeling it was an old QF bird. Wonder why it never went OS for break up and just left to rot at Avalon.

ZXF and TJJ ( Tango Hooks) are both heading to the desert this week.

Awwww poor old TH. Will miss her!

Are you more sure this time Markis10?? ;) not quoting from the Qantas source website again ;)

ZXF eh? ... I hope it's not to long before my nemesis ZXE bites the dust!

Is there anywhere to lookup aircraft registration from the flight numbers?

For some reason I didn't note the following flights when I flew them:

QF2085 MIL-MEL on 03MAY13
QF1015 MEL-HBA on 04MAY13

Spotted a forlorn looking 'Roo-less' 734 (presumably TJJ) parked at the gate 25 at the international terminal earlier this evening from my window seat on QF 462.

There's a still-roo'd (from a distance looked like a new roo) 744 at AVV the last couple of days.

Any ideas on that one?

Bye TJJ, she has left the country.

VH-TJJ

Funny enough, I just checked FlightMemory, and rather or not too surprisingly, VH-TJJ "Heron" is the most common aircraft I've flown according to my records - flown on her 8 times previously.

Vale another 734... the only good thing about ye was good legroom in all of rows 4, 5 and 6.

Hi everyone,

Just wondering, does anyone know why and when QF35/6 went from being a 747 to a 330?

Thanks!

When first announced it was a 747 but a few weeks later became a A330 service, why, simply because they dont have the fleet to support it and there would appear to be not the demand.
