Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

I emailed [email protected] and my request to have this year's Green Tier reward credited this year was processed without a fuss (but after some significant wait). I'm not sure if this means I will still get a reward next membership year? Guess we'll find out.

I'd prefer the points this year. What will happen next year? None of this makes any sense. Just cap it at one reward per membership year.

That's exactly what they are doing

No it's not. I received a reward last calendar and membership year ie 2022. As I have qualified this year 2023 and also in my new membership year, why do I have to wait until the following calendar and membership year? ie rewards in 2022 and 2024

You don't have to wait. But you do have to follow up with Qantas to get your reward this membership year. It might take multiple emails/calls/escalations.

Has anyone had any issues with trying to offset carbon emissions on an existing flight? The 'offset this trip' under all of my upcoming bookings doesn't work. It's a click to nowhere - not even an error message. Rang Frequent Flyer and they don't know what the issue is and can't offset manually over the phone. Any suggestions?

Nope successfully offset an existing flight 2 weeks ago via the link in upcoming bookings. But it took 6 days for the green leaf to show up even though the activity showed and confirmation email received within minutes.

Have you tried going into MMB for the individual booking and offsetting from there?

Same issue here - all browsers, including nil cookie versions, and via the app. Was just planning to do with my next booking as part of the process before ticketing

Good to hear it is working for some! I had issues a year or so ago but eventually it just started working again. I can't see any offset option within MMB.

I've tried all of that too. Different PCs/devices, using private or incognito mode and different browsers. I've emailed FF but no response yet. I assume it must be an issue with individual profiles?

was this trip by any chance purchased via a Travel Agent?

No, I booked it through Qantas.com

I have a mix of bookings through TA, Qantas.com and QBR - the link doesn’t work for any of them. Same with my partners profile.
My experience is that through TA it never works.

One thing to consider maybe: Book a cheap SYD - MEL flight with offset, then cancel within less than 24 hours for free? Might be easier than trying to get this fixed?

I've got 11 months or so to achieve it so will do it for a flight I intend to take. But was hoping to get it fixed! I'll leave it with FF for now and will post their response once they come back to me.

My understanding was it needed to be offset during booking, but reading subsequent comments it appears it can be done. Following with interest.

Day six of my new membership year and my green tier seems to have expired, rather than my last-year bonus appearing for selection as hoped. I was showing 5 green leaves having completed what I thought were the last activities required during the last month of last year.

Quiz also not showing in wellbeing app but I have forgotten where to look.

Will wait a few more days then call or email.

So when you go to the Green Tier page you don't have the green bar on top?

I would expect the leaves to reset to zero as you have to earn them again in this new FF year to keep green for the next year. For example mine shows that I achieved GT last year, but so far this years have only done 2/5 tasks:

Correct, I have no green tier bar like you do, and like I indeed did have went from Y1 to Y2 (this is my third year).
Perhaps something went wrong with my Y2 re-qualification, despite showing five leaves before the reset.

I started Yr 2 (recently) with 1 leaf gratis (quiz) but I have the quiz available in the Well being app to do (which I will do in due course for the 100 pts) - BTW, the quiz should be at the top “How sustainable are you?”

Given those with July and August anniversaries reported not seeing correct status and roll-over points úntil 3rd week fo the month, Id wait 2 weeks yet to see if it rights itself.
