Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

I am doing the 3pm one.
Hi guys - work wants me now to spend time on an actual Qantas plane rather than going to this event. I emailed them and they said they have no waistlist.

So if anyone wants my+1 3pm spot on Sunday at 4 Pillars, let me know.

Earlier in the week, I booked SYD-MEL (return) and took the opportunity to do the carbon offset for $1.33 each way. I noticed today I’ve received 31 QFF pts (in addition to the leaf).

So how does that work?

Not that I’d do it, but on some longhaul flights the offset in say J can be several hundred dollars - last time I looked. Presumably that would earn a decent haul of FF points at the same rate?

Meanwhile, I’m 31 pts closer to PC requal…..😂

I am sure there are better value ways to buy points.

Hey all,

From the sounds of things requalifying for green tier only has the rewards show up at the end of the membership year is that right?

Technically the start of the new year by all accounts.

Hi all,

How long does it typically take for a new Green Tier qualification to come into effect with the SC rewards delivered? I have a long-haul flight in 24 days and sitting on 4 out of 5 leaves, just awaiting offsetting flight to take affect (I completed last night). I'll be 20SC off Gold with no real chance or additional credits other than this. Really hoping to scrape in!

Long-haul flight will push me over to Lifetime Silver as well, not even sure what I can do with that.

I requalified Green Tier (now year two) within a week of my new member year, but had no luck with my complaint requesting my 50 SCs. I wasn't double dipping having (unnecessarily) claimed the first year's SCs back in June

Rejected year two Green Tier rewards

I'm still waiting for a response back in similar circumstances. I expect the same reply.

I'll be sending an email to the head of Qantas Loyalty. No way am I going to allow Qantas to enforce non-existent T&Cs.

will love to hear the reply!

I'm so confused by this! I qualified for Green Tier last year (2022), received my reward immediately. My membership year re-started in April 2023 and I have almost qualified a second time. Do I have to wait until April 2024 for the reward this time around?

For this reason I plan to re-qualify during my end-2023 year, hoping the award appears at start of end-2024 year. First qualification was in end-2022 year and claimed it after the end-2023 year ticked over.

Hang on, i just spotted this in their fine print ....

Clearly says "21 days"

Yep, that’s why peeps have been complaining and discussed over several pages.

The Ts&Cs are clear / correct for “achieving” GT (ie an Individual not currently GT) but there seems to be some internal rule (not published?) on how maintaining GT in subsequent years is treated.

One thing the Ts&Cs are clear about is no double dipping: “Limit of one reward per Individual per membership year”. Perhaps this is translated as rolling over on member year anniversary? The same as Points Club works now.

Has anyone had any issues offsetting their holiday house in the last week? I'm getting some errors thrown up during checkout.

I did mine ten days ago and it was fine, other than noticing that the price had gone up 33% since 2022.
Thanks - possible false alarm - something weird going on though where it doesn't ask for your address correctly, moves on to payment, then bounces back to address and throws up an error.

Tried in edge, same issue, somehow forced my way through by entering address, going back to cart, address stuck from previous entry, then went through to payment. Receipt received, will report back when ticks appear
