re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Further question considering Aquire is so vague, does the 5000 bonus aquire signup points count towards your 20,000 year target?

No. But you can transfer them prior to hitting the 20K threshold.

Thanks, I've promptly transferred my bonus points out, so if I decide to cancel my aquire account I won't lose my bonus points at least. There seems to be far to many issues, restrictions, catchy T+C's and asterisks (*) involved in aquire and who was time to wade through them!! it was bad enough trying to get my head around simpler/fairer.

Its free though so worth a bit of pain.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I called up and they have said there are certainly issues with flights not transferring across to aquire. Something to do with membership year but as we are new members I suspect that it is an IT glitch. They expect everything to be sorted by the end of the week. Hope so, between us we have six flights last week and three from March that haven't posted.

Thanks for the update, the agent I spoke to this morning knew nothing of any issues, so far no call back. Gee not a good day for me QF wise, aquire issues and a substandard copy+paste customer care reply for a flight issue. Not happy jan!!

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Hi

With the current promo of 10,000 points for new Aquire members are these available to be transferred to QFF points straight away or do they need to get to 20,000 points first?

Bonus points are available straight away. It is only points derived from flights that end up in the 20,000 minimum bin.

I sent them an email yesterday with flight details of missing points. When I rang them they could see that email. So they know something is up and I'm guessing they will just expect it all to be sorted by the end of the week.

That minimum of 20k points is a once off. I was able to transfer 10k points from Q flights today leaving just 200 (so 10,200 originally in the account)

So they are just plain rude they could not be bothered to respond to the email to at least tell you that they are looking into it. Puts them in the same category as Turkish Airlines.

Interesting all our flights from March and April seemed to post without any issues. We did have strange things happening with our membership year reset as at end March but no recognition in the totals up the top of no of people flying and points gained in April Then the points and people totals increased to the correct no and then our membership year changed to end April and no of flyers etc went back to zero again. Plus there were 3 or 4 unintelligible lines on the activity statement.

It has been good for us though - we haven't done any of the partner stuff or bonus offers - too complicated, but it still meant close to 200,000 extra points for us. Next year will be much smaller with our new resolution not to fly QFi.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

The reason they gave yesterday was change of membership year in March. Maybe they don't know why it happened?

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Maybe an issue with Qantas rewards generally. Just called NAB re CC points not transferred this month. I was concerned because a member on another thread suggested if your billing month ended after 1 May that any points earned during the month on ATO spend would not be transferred. Operator confirmed my points would transfer and mentioned that the operator next to her was also speaking to someone (probably another AFF'er) with same issue regarding Qantas points.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

My Aquire activity statement problem has not yet been resolved, but I have finally been able to speak to someone above the call centre operators that I believe is on my case. The gentlemen also gave me his contact details - I appreciate this. (but I hope it is fixed shortly and I don't have to use them :))

Along with everyone else I am not getting any points post - but that is a different issue.

Are you referring to the 20k pending points? IIRC it re-sets every year.

that's correct a minimum of 20000 points must be achieved every year. Once achieved then the pending points become Aquire Points and remain aquire points forever, which can be transferred. They do not go back to pending in the following year but you do have to again achieve the 20000 point minimum in the following year.

So far all bonus points have been points that are accessible immediately. There seems to be some kind of subtle distinction between Aquire points and pending points.

Oh ok. I am still in infancy then. :p

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

IME it has always taken 2-4 weeks for flight points to post to Aquire.

Yep. But a clue to IT issues is when later flights have posted.

Just had a call from Aquire who said they were having issues and delays with flight details posting.
