re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

From the aquire survey I got the distinct feeling that it was more of a "Why aren't people signing up" and "Why don't people understand the programme after signing up "

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Got it, did it, careful not to check the box that gave permission to release survey data for use with my account.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Aquire have fixed my access problem :D

I have now had a chance to review my activity statement after almost 2 months without access to it - naturally I got a nasty surprise, they cut me off for 2 weeks in April - on calling them about it, the reason is because they did everyone a favour! by extending the membership year from 12 to 13 months, so the month they generously gave me means I blew the limit in the last 2 weeks and missed out on those flights. (happily the bonus points don't count )

They are working within their T&C's - so it is what it is but

A Membership Year has the meaning given in clause 2.1 of the Aquire Terms and Conditions .
Note: A business' first Membership Year may be longer than 12 months. For example, if a business joins Aquire on 15 June 2014, all Eligible Flights with a departure date between 15 June 2014 and 30 June 2015 will count towards the eligibility and maximum thresholds in that first Membership Year.

Let me provide you with my ABN in case you go over your limit next year again.... ;) Wouldn't want those points going to waste now, would we.

Exactly, I would have happily given them to anyone rather than them being lost like they were - makes me feel sick. I was monitoring it pretty closely as I knew it would be tight - I just didn't realise there were going to be 13 months in a year, not being able to access the statement for 7 weeks has not helped.

I will keep you in mind if I'm getting close again next year.

I would argue they're not working within the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions clearly state that a membership year is 12 months. The only variation is, as per that note, that your first year will be extended so that it finishes at the end of the anniversary month, rather than on the exact day you joined. There is nothing there about possibly adding an extra month to the membership year. They might have been all nice by adding an extra month to the first year, but you shouldn't be penalised by their action when you should've had those points if they didn't do something outside the terms and conditions of the program.

Membership Year:

  1. for the first year, commences on the day of joining Aquire and concludes on the last day of the Member's Anniversary Month the following year; and
  2. subject to Membership renewal, for each successive year commences on the first day of the month following a Member's Anniversary Month and concludes on the last day of the Member's Anniversary Month in each relevant following year,
  3. unless otherwise determined under clause 5.5;

Anniversary Month means each anniversary of the month during which a Member joined Aquire Loyalty;

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Just as a data point - 4 flights taken on 17 May (2 AA with Qf codeshare and 2 on QF 8) posted overnight.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

My account stopped working again for a few days but is ok again.

I see Aquire gave me a 500 point anniversary present in early May

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

One for the Aquire end of year errors related to the year change over. I've flown Qantas since May, and one of my employees flew on 1 May. all earning since 30 April, i.e. starting 1 May, are showing as pending. However, I only have 1 of 2 for number of people flying, despite having pending points listed for 2 of us. I'm going to bet that 1 May flight hasn't been counted for the passenger count.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

anyone got their 50% bonus points for first 5 flights yet? it has been 8 weeks yesterday and no points yet, acquire service centre wouldn't even help till after 8 weeks..pretty poor..

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Around 2-3 weeks I think.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Points for flights first week of May arrived 18-June for me.

I also received bonus points in my account a few days ago for flights late April.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Iv'e noticed that all points are going into the pending column, Even for flights I took in April which earn't full aquire points. My reset date was 1st of May. ??

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Seriously dismayed by aquire customer service and bonus points experience.

8 weeks has well and truly passed and no bonus points, called numerous times staff said they were investigating, some don't call back, some don't leave notes on the account and I've now been told its 8 weeks from the posting date not travel date, I get the feeling this is just an excuse not to deal with the problem..

They are pretty terrible... perhaps it shows as they're not the same staff that deal with QFFers, who actually seem competent.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I've almost given up on Aquire they are just a pain in the backside.

Crucially as a marketing tool, Aquire has zero impact on my purchasing decisions when booking travel for my clients and myself. It's more of an afterthought if I end up choosing Qantas for other reasons.

Good idea. Implemented poorly.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Yep Aquire is subpar with customer service. Just had points issues rectified now after 6 weeks of back n forth. Who knows when the points for the 3x offer will post. On another note shopping with qantas mall is interesting too. Did some with mr porter, and never got the qantas confirmed emails. This will be a nightmare getting those points. Got told to wait 30 days before asking about them irregardless of email received.
