re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

It can also mean that someone else has already claimed the Aquire points....
Nah..don't think that's it.. they're not pending and I am the only login :)
I do think that the flights were upgraded so that could be the issue.
Will give them a call.
Thanks everyone :)

Anyone with access to the booking eg. the TA can enter an ABN into it.

Or claim them later via Aquire; all you need is the flight details and QFF.
Pretty sure a booking I was managaging for someone was claimed by the TA.

Yeah I know.. I think they forgot..
Anyway all sorted now.. the lovely lady at Aquire is taking care of all of it for me :)
(and the reason that I couldn't do it online was because the flights had been upgraded (as Kevrosmith suggested))

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

You are correct but depends on the wording and sometimes it will say triple (or double) BONUS points with the key word being bonus. I read the triple aquire points to be bonus points. So my fault yes, but maybe should have read double bonus points.

Also the poor program is not just from offers, its poor customer service I have received, not receiving call backs when promised, not leaving notes in all instances, acknowledged system issues with points posting, points not earned of QF codeshares except EK restriction, extremely long time for points to post greater than their T+C's of 'up to 8 weeks' , promos unregistered themselves after already having registered (read system issues again), internally they don't have a register of promotions they have to look back to a copy of the email to find out the T+C's.

Anyway get your point its not broken or bad for everyone, but it is certainly no QFF.

Have to agree, I have been chasing 10,000 points from a promotion for a couple of months Acquire says contact the supplier, supplier says Acquire will post them, I'm not giving up and I am going to keep chasing the supplier. I made it crystal clear on my actual order that it was based on getting the 10,000 bonus points and was also told verbally by them as long as my ABN was included I would

I had similar issues with the Staples promo a while back and they kept bouncing me around. I can't remember who finally sorted it but I did eventually get the points.

Alas I'm still a little short to transfer. Still have a couple of months left and you never know what trips come up out of the blue.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Just received with my May points balance email - for those who like 5K bonus Aquire points for $234 (and a dozed mixed wine thrown in by QF epiQure): http://buff.ly/1szxd7O

So just thinking aloud...you need a minimum 3,000pts to transfer to your QFF acct? I have just the 2k bonus pts Aquire gave me last year, so this would enable me to transfer 7k pts across?

I have just 14,800pts in my Pending acct and may have to watch those expire at the end of my member year in August as I do not have any flights planned before then. This bonus would at least allow me to adopt those 2,000 orphans.

Aquire waived the 20,000 minimum for many members last year, myself included. They may do it again....

Do Aquire let you know in your final month?
I seem to recall some AFFers posting they were offered transfer on amounts that were close to the 20k qualifying.

I'd like to be included :D

No. I have a total of 2,880 pending from my new account that was only commenced in December 2015 (all from flying). Even with 6 months of flying still to go (all Domestic), I'll need a leg up to get close to 20K. This will help...

I'm not sure I follow your logic... as I see it, if you take up the wine offer and you'll have 7K + 14.8K from flying, which gives greater than 20K (and therefore surely they are all transferable). I'm not over all the rules...so I may be wrong :o

I think Mr_Orange's reasoning is sound. The wine purchase will affect your actual Aquire points and allow you to meet the 3,000-point transfer threshold while leaving your "pending Aquire points" (are there many programs that make deliberate breakage measures so blatant?) unchanged.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

See, I told you I wasn't over all the rules - your clarification just gave me an "Ah, that's what he meant" moment...

In fact, if that's the case, then I'll go and buy a case through my other Aquire account and be able to transfer them as well :D ;)

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I could be wrong, I was once before. ;)
I never made the cut last year so do not have any actual experience of the process but my understanding is that you need a minimum balance of 3k in the Aquire Acct to be able to transfer & I think we are all in agreement on that. I also understood that before any points transfer from the "orange" Pending acct into the "grey" Aquire acct the minimum orange "Pending" balance should be 20,000pts.
This wine purchase will increase your total Aquire points but not your Pending acct which can only increase by completing a flight. e.g. In my case I will have 2k + 5k (wine) = 7k points but still only 14,800 Pending points.
