Qantas Points Club Discussion

Older vouchers had a min spend. Newer ones tend not to. Check your PC dashboard for what vouchers are available. That will state min spend and also let you copy the voucher # into the QF wine shop.
Thanks. All good. I called them and both vouchers were broken so they created new ones and processed the 2 orders over the phone. :)

Sometimes you just need to call and have the voucher applied over the phone. I had one voucher recently that was for a free bottle of champagne with a minimum spend on any Qantas wine product. It was printed on a card that I had set aside on my desk until ready for use it. I can't recall exactly where it came from, but could have arrived with a previous purchase. It was about to expire so I tried to use it. Computer said "invalid". The printed code had several characters that were hard to distinguish between number or letter (0, O, 1, I). So I tried all possible combinations. No luck.

Call and they knew of the voucher and were able to apply the promotion and send my the bubbles. It was seen as a separate, no-cost order and delivered separately.

However, they seem to have a made an error in my favour with the qualifying order, which I expect would not have occurred through the on-line system and may have been related to the manual processing of the bubbles. The error did mean that the overall transaction went from ok value to good value for me.

So don't be too hesitant to call for assistance applying vouchers. Sometimes it can be well worth the call ;)

Hi, I re-qualified for points club in early October, does anyone know how long it takes for the dashboard to show up with access to the wine and hotel voucher. When you select to view your progress, it details below the points tracker the benefits of points club, where it says the $50 hotel voucher will appear in 'my account' within 21 days of attaining points club and for the wine voucher it says it will be in 'my account' after retaining/attaining points club, with the fine print for the wine voucher saying it will appear within 21 days as well. Is this something you have to contact Qantas to sort?

When you re-qualify, I think the vouchers show up on your anniversary date. At least, twelve months after the previous ones were issued to you. Happy for those where it has happened to clarify.

That will be interesting as I am about 4,379 away from points club plus, I wonder how that will work then.

My hotel voucher never showed up, now 11 months after earning points club back after it lapsed. Raised a couple of support cases, they told me to check junk folder, didnt seem to understand they show on dashboard. I did get the wine voucher, used it but it still sits there as if unused. Its very hit and miss

I rang the other day about a wine voucher sitting there. They told me they don't disappear, but there is an option to mark it as used.

wow that is ridiculous. Surely THEY should know it's used?!!

perhaps QF wine doesn't communicate back properly to the main system to say "this is used"

I suppose if one went to apply it to an order you'd soon know :D

So I read the FAQ's as well and it seems it's the lounge pass that show up within two weeks of your membership year, the hotel voucher is supposed to be within 21 days of unlocking or retaining points club and for the wine voucher it says will be in 'my account' when you attain or retain point club or points club plus. I assume sending an email will take a while to get a response!

Points Club members are eligible for two Complimentary Lounge invitations per Membership Year. Complimentary Lounge Invitations will be assigned to the member’s account within two weeks of qualifying for Points Club and will then be available via the Complimentary Invitations Portal. If you unlock Points Club again in the following year, you'll receive your invitations within two weeks of your new Membership Year.

Points Club members will receive a $50 Qantas Wine voucher and Points Club Plus members will receive two $50 Qantas Wine vouchers. You’ll be eligible to receive your Qantas Wine vouchers once per Membership Year. Only one unique voucher code can be used per transaction, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Each voucher can only be used once. Vouchers will be in My account when you attain or retain Points Club or Points Club Plus.

Points Club members will receive a A$50 Qantas Hotels and Holidays voucher and Points Club Plus members will receive a A$100 Qantas Hotels and Holidays voucher by email from Qantas Frequent Flyer within 21 days of unlocking or retaining Points Club.

Lounge passes, wine voucher and hotel voucher all came through day after QFF anniversary date...
Thanks, is that your membership anniversary date you mean? their FAQ's say differently oddly! I emailed to see anyway. I also just crossed over to points club plus today, so hopefully I get vouchers from requalifying points club and not for reaching points club plus.

When is your anniversary date. If you became PC+ within the same 12 month period as PC, you won’t receive the QP vouchers, but QP membership for the next year. You will only receive one lot of wine and hotel vouchers, not for both levels.

Okay, I think I get it now!. I received an email on 9/5/22 that I had unlocked points club. That email says: As a Points Club member, you'll now enjoy an exclusive suite of special travel benefits and offers until 30 June 2023. I first got points club in March 2020 and got a hotel voucher in May 2021 when they bought them in. I think I dropped off points club the year ending 30/6/21 and re-qualified in May 2022 however I don't recall getting the hotel or wine voucher when re-qualifying in May this year. just the lounge passes which I have now donated. I hit 150,000 points to retain in early October and have now just hit points club plus, where it says it will last to 2024.

How does the Points Club Plus lounge membership benefit work for Qantas Gold members? Do you get the lounge membership for the current membership year + next membership year or for just 12 months?

You get sweet FA (other than a 100 SC rollover next year)

Thanks, so you don't get the lounge membership put on pause until you are no longer a gold member? ie. the benefit is just forgone for Gold or Platinum members?

I don't think anyone has dropped from Gold/Plat since Points Club launched in Mar 2020 due to the extensions, so we don't have any data points. But it's certainly not a published benefit.

Good point about the status extensions. I heard Qantas put paid lounge memberships on hold while you qualify for lounge access due to status, but I guess given this is "free", it might not be something they do for Points Club Plus members.

But LTGs have been around since then. I doubt my residual QP membership lost in annals of time would be extended if I bothered going for PC+ 😳

Hopefully something comes of that survey mentioned earlier!
