The Y experience will be the same as all other Y experiences on QF long hall I expect.Seats in Y will be in a 3-3-3 config. PE will be 2-4-2. That's about all we know

Then there will be a general announcement to not congregate in certain areas. There was something mentioned about a stetch zone for Y and W
That’s the wait in the queue for boarding? There was something mentioned about a stetch zone for Y and W
Well, they obviously won’t do that.View attachment 317505
If they made the seat reclinable to fully flat and the armrest could be lowered, wouldn't that almost double the width of the sleeping surface and give Qantas the widest bed in the sky?
Then you are going to need a different seat with more complex mechanisms. Fairer and simpler this wayseat reclinable to fully flat
Fixed that for you.Im not going there if there is any hint of economy.
How will they divvy up use of that spaceFixed that for you.
Just longer….The Y experience will be the same as all other Y experiences on QF long hall I expect.
PER-LHR takes on average 17:15hrs and 7829nm (great circle)Does anyone know how many hours would Sunrise flights are, eg SYD-LHR, and SYD-JFK?
They’re saying 20 odd hrs - so not much longer?Does anyone know how many hours would Sunrise flights are, eg SYD-LHR, and SYD-JFK?
I did LAX-SIN on SQ Y recently and that was 18 hours. It was better than I thought (and survived) but my bum hurts due to the lack of padding in the seating. A stretch zone is definitely needed as I ended up walking a bit to stretch myself during the flight.
Thank you for that laugh. Best post all week imho (and definitely a good illustration of a SYD-JFK non-stop flight in Why).
And yet economy passengers are the ones likely to suffer the most on long flights. Stretch zone is only useful if you go and spend the entire flight there and not in an uncomfortable seat.Well you can guarantee one thing here.
No "independent" reviewer invited by the airline will be asked to do an indepth review of Y
The airline did mention that Y pitch would be 33in. Apart from that, the airline has already stated (by omission) that it does not consider Y passengers to be worthy of considerations for wellbeing and comfort
