Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

During the recent FT OzFest in Canberra both Blu Ginger Canberra and Milk and Honey awarded points.

Funnily enough, the owner of Milk and Honey didn't seem to understand that the points actually cost her money.

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

Wow - noice collect! :D

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

Bergerac in Melbourne posted 11 days later. No receipt when I showed the Qantas card but they came through. Great experience.

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

The QANTAS iPhone app - which essentially is a shopping tool - may be inaccurate for locating point-earning eateries in your location. I live in Castle Hill, NSW. I see from the website that Blu Ginger, Crinitis and Hilltop Phoenix restaurants are all points-earners. The app's 'Around Me' search function, where Castle Hill is specifically chosen as my location, only offers Blu Ginger as a points-earner. Given that all three restaurants are located in the same shopping mall a mobile-phone's throw from each other, seems a bit odd. Maybe Blu Ginger paid more....

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

Note that the (brief) list of restaurants in WA has been reduced by one. The Silver Spoon closed for business as of yesterday, Tuesday 29th May 2012. In any event, they appear to have withdrawn from the QFF program at some earlier point.

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

While not the deciding factor, it was a nice reward for the organising. Pity we couldn't double dip the Citibank and QFF bonuses though.

Both Golden Century and East Ocean in Chinatown Sydney allow you to double dip!

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

Theres a bit more competition in Chinatown.

Yes of course; but these are the only ones where I have asked to double dip and received! There may be others who allow you to double dip and I would be pleased to know which ones if others have tried and succeeded.

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

Sky Phoenix provided the QFF points for me. They also allowed me to use the Citibank program to get a free bottle of wine (a very nice riesling) and 4.25 Citibank points per dollar! Not bad.

Re: Qantas Restaurants that DO or DO NOT award points

Beware Sahra in Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney. No points awarded and despite following up with them by email, no rectification.

This is of course a breach of the Consumer and Competition Act (pt VI) re misrepresentation -- but the onus is on the consumer to follow up rather than Qantas to manage their agents.

I won't be going back to Sahra again.

On the up-side, Blu Ginger (in Canberra) always awards points promptly and with no fuss. I go there at least once a month. Good customer treatment earns customer loyalty.

Re: Qantas Restaurants that DO or DO NOT award points

You can take Vivo Cafe in Sydney off the list of restaurants awarding points in Post 1. They stopped about a week ago, apparently "it was costing them too much money".

Re: Qantas Restaurants that DO or DO NOT award points

Can report the Hockey Club in Toowoomba is still taking cards and giving points - nice meals too!
