My apologies for my ignorance, but what exactly is ending in just over 24 hours? :S

Basically the end of another Qantas Asia sale.

Spurred on by markis10 revelation about the Oct public holiday, I just checked for an Oct long weekend in SIN and was dismayed to find the 23:30 Emirates flight out of BNE changes schedule to 2:30am after 1 Oct! (which is sold out anyway). Quite annoyed to find the schedule change.

It's actually just a reversion to original schedule. IIRC there was some reason at BNE that temporarily brought the flight forward to 23:30.

Lower is not always better, I am happy to pay $24 more for 20 SC and 2000 more points.

Yes indeed - it is getting harder to justify not spending the money is all

I want to find an upgradeable fare as I can't find anything with connections at the moment and I would like to request an upgrade so that AU QF will take ownership of the booking

Ah I found a flight that will get me a domestic connection so I can put an upgrade request on it (if I read the upgrade request rules correctly) but then I also found MNL return for under $500 for the easter week...

..... and here in Radelaide there are zero Qantas International flights now the Singapore route has gone.

But you can still get to SIN via SYD very cheaply on this sale. I have booked for next month and about to book another for October
