No Storyteller, I'm not P1, just a lowly WP, did I get more than I bargained for? Dunno! I haven't recd anything yet, I was just wondering, hence my post!!

Ok, late at night.

WP is great.
Everyone is getting double points at the moment - thank you QF!!
If you join EpiQure for dollars, you will get a gift which I belive is a very nice bottle of wine.

Neither of these has to do with WP, except you do get a heap of extra points on any day, which means even more with the current double points bonus :D

And as a WP from now until around 20 December in the morning & afternoon (actual times & details a couple of pages back), space permitting, you will get upgrades on the East coast capital city routes & all day Perth to East coast, all M-F.

Did you mean anything other than these?

And, you know, P1 is something to aim for...

I'm sure it's past your bedtime Storyteller! :p

I believe what jim001 is referring to is a complimentary bottle of wine which comes with complimentary membership of EpiQure. Under normal circumstances complimentary membership of EpiQure does not include the complimentary bottle of wine, but I got an e-mail (as a WP 'inconvenienced' during the strikes) which specifically said I had complimentary membership of EpiQure and a complimentary bottle of wine. It has not arrived yet, so we'll see. :) BTW, I have assumed it is the Jacobs Creek whatever it was wine 'valued at' ~ $130 but again, we'll see what happens. Cheers.

I hadn't heard of epiQure membership Plus bottle of the good wine (but is it as good as the langmeil??).

This is sure a lot of making pretty!

You should work for the Qantas PR department. Sorry but I must just quote you again :!:

"WP is great.

Has QF ever considered an idea which I've always had.

For example, if I make 2000 SCs in a year, then as long as I haven't hit 2100, the 800 on top of the 1200, should be credited to the next year.

That way If I do heaps of flying, but can't make it to 3600, then it should help me to become WP next year.

Also, if I don't make the 1200SCs, would they take me down to Gold, then Silver? Or do I go straight to Jail (bronze). lol.

I know that Virgin and Air NZ let you down gently, so from WP to SG, to PS, then to pleb status.

Either way, don't wanna lose QF WP :P

I am not sure the Qantas PR department would be happy with the organisation of the Virgin Appreciation weekend by the OP, its clearly a case of credit where credit is due versus raving one eyed alliances!

Banking SC's has been brought up here before, but nothing further.

QF do however have soft landings, so you'll go from WP to SG then PS.

Qantas does soft landings. Drop to gold etc.

It is now 2400.

AirNZ do have a form of point banking, but only for Gold Elite renewal.

To re-qualify, one needs 1350 Status points. The first 649 earned over this figure (i.e. up to 1999) can be carried for to you next years requalification. However, earn 2000 SP's or more and an additional year of Gold Elite is "banked" until such a time as they do not reach the 1350. These banked years are coughulative so if in the subsequent year 2000 SP's is again reached another 'banked' year is earned. i.e. A Gold Elite effectively re-qualifies for 2 years with 2000 SP's.

Don't remind me.

How can I forget? Especially as SWMBO has given in principle approval to get PG so we have full lounge access for us, her brother and SiL on a holiday next year.

When are the extra points supposed to show up in the account, all the flights are there.

I have had two lots of bonus points. The first lot were 5 days after the flight and the second lot appeared 3 days after the flight. So I would wait at least a week.

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

I'm confused. I'm WP, got the double points offer and have received the bonus points on my flights back from NRT last week. But nowhere in that email can I find mention of any Epiqure gift??

If/when you work it out please let me know also as I'm in the same boat. I did ask red Roo and did not get a proper answer.

I got the double points offered and the Eipcure membership with the gift in the email it said.

... And because you may have been directly impacted during the recent disruptions, we would like to offer you a 12 month complimentary membership to epiQure by Qantas Frequent Flyer~ - our online community exclusive to Qantas Frequent Flyers offering a wealth of wine, food and rewards. To activate your complimentary membership~~, visit epiqure.com.au and login with your Qantas Frequent Flyer number. Simply by accepting the terms and conditions of membership and by activating your membership you'll receive a complimentary gift of fine wine

Where you 'directly impacted during the recent disruptions'? Which is a typical Qantas statement that is vague and open to interpretation. I had a flight canceled during to the groundings, which is why I would have received it.

I had thought that 'gifts' were for those actually disrupted; are there any who weren't (like me) who did receive a 'gift'?

I do know the straitman was disrupted - his post indicates no gift offered.

I was not "disrupted" so maybe that's why there was no Epiqure gift.

Cheers

Timmi
