Yes Qantas resets at the membership anniversary. Regarding specifically the fast track, other members in this thread have confirmed they received it for the rest of this membership year and the full 12 months of the next year. For example my reset is January 31st 2022. Based on other members of this thread I am expecting to have gold from when I earn it through to Jan 31st 2022 and then a following 12 months until Jan 31st 2023.One this confuses me a little with qantas frequent flyer. I know with velocity your credits drop off a year after you earn them but Qantas credits all erase at the beginning of the new membership year? If I hit the fast track gold a month before my membership anniversary does that mean I only have it for a month?
Greetings All,
I’d really appreciate if one of our learned members could set the record straight...
Regarding:
* current Double Status Credits
* current QFF Fast Track (100SC for Gold)
* Points Club- SC for classic reward flights
Are all three complimentary?
If Today a Points Club member books QF classic reward flights which normally attract 50 SC: (for flights in April)
1. Will these double to 100 Status Credits?
2. Will all 100 Status Credits count towards the 100 SC needed for Fast Track qualification?
many, many thanks!
Bill
It is in writing.I’m in the same camp as @oz_mark, it does appear from the T&C’s that the DSC and Fast Track stack. It’s hard to get conclusive proof until somebody get categorical evidence (ie QF saying that in writing). Can’t answer the Point Club question.
What do bonus Status Credits count towards?
Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer also count towards retaining or attaining your membership tier and the Qantas Status Fast Track earn requirement#. However, bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements.
It's in the extension e-mail as well.@Must...Fly! , call me cynical, I’m getting more and more as I age. It may be in writing, but sometimes the IT behind the scenes leaves a bit to be desired but is an imperative
Your status won’t change to gold until you hit the 100 credits. Your digital QF card should show Qantas club on it so you shouldn’t have any dramas getting into any lounges.I'm about to book a flight but will stay with virgin if I don't get the perks in the period I'm on fast track.
Note that the Qantas Club branding only appeared on my digital card once I had checked in for my first flight during my 90 day match period. It has remained on my card since and been updated to show the new expiry of June 2021.Yes the above is correct. Check your card in the app - it should show your status as Bronze Qantas Club.
Yes only saw the double sc's promo today!!! from your discussions, one day too late. (cuts off day before cheap airfares!). Going for fast track but already got my 75sc'c from a credit card. Just another 25 to get. Have to fly to Darwin within challenge period and Gov subsidised 1/2 airfares, so waiting for tomorrow.Yies!
Or midnight tonight?Have to fly to Darwin within challenge period and Gov subsidised 1/2 airfares, so waiting for tomorrow.
Just to clarify (based on my experience, as I am currently doing the challenge), I don't believe you get Qantas Gold for the three months of challenge (I have not), I think you just get 3 months of Qantas Club access - so key difference I think, is no priority boarding. Also if you already have Qantas club membership, you don't even really get that either as you get no membership extension for this period either (I didn't). All up I have got nothing for participating in the challenge, just hope to make it to the other end and hope that is worth it? If they don't extend my Qantas club membership by 12 months, this will largely all be a waste. The Qantas Gold status match/fast track has returned with the announcement of a two-way trans-Tasman bubble, and New Zealand residents are now also eligible in addition to Australian residents.
Qantas Status Fast Track | Qantas Frequent Flyer
For a limited time, we're offering eligible members the chance to move their airline frequent flyer status to Qantas to help them fast track to Qantas Gold.www.qantas.com
If you have eligible status with a qualifying airline (equivalent to Gold or higher status), you can apply for a Status Fast Track. You get 3 months of Qantas Gold status and just have to earn 100 SC within 90 days to extend your status for a year. Velocity & Air New Zealand status are among those which qualify.
Offer is now open until 30 April 2021.
